Pointless Practice (Private)

Foster didn't know why he came here so much. He wasn't on a team or anything, so training this much amounted to nothing. Sure it gave him a more muscles but he really didn't wanna look like a steroid user. He knew it was getting late and that he needed to get going but honestly... He didn't want to. He wanted to stay and practice some more. Maybe he did it to relieve stress. He really did need to relieve stress after what his brother had told him. The thought of it made him kick the air harder then he intended to and he fell over. He bare back hit the floor with a smack. The young man groaned in pain and sat up. His body was covered in sweat and it made it harder for him to get up. He finally managed to get off the floor, but he felt like he needed a rest. His body ached from the amount of strain on his muscles. He reached for his water bottle and downed some of the refreshing drink.

The boy realxed minutely as he left the cafeteria behind. He hadn't had time to breathe without others around all day, and this was probably going to be a daily occurance. Was everyone at this school really that friendly? He shuddered thinking about even one more person touching him. He knew he couldn't avoid it forever, but the child would be void of human contact as long as possible and as often as possible. Jethro paused at that, Correction, I'm willing to come in contact if it's with a purpose, such as physical training or saving or being saved from some thing. He nodded once to himself. That sounded more accurate. The boy made his way to the building he assumed was the dojo. It seemed as quiet and empty as he thought it would be. A small smile crossed his face, and he entered the building, leaving his shoes at the door. He would be absolutely soundless, so anyone that did happen to be around wouldn't be disturbed; plus it was a unique experience he'd not likely have again. His socks made next to no noise, and his step was light naturally, so the boy was quite stealthy without trying. He was memorizing the place, looking about avidly to ensure he learned every detail, as was his habit when he was alone. His breath caught and he quickly hid back behind the doorframe when he saw an older male practicing. at least that's what the boy thought he was doing, but the male hit the floor and recovered enough to drink from a bottle that looked to be filled with water. The younger male couldn't help but admire the kind of work ethic that it must take to practice when no one could see to fix your errors or to instruct you further. He prayed his darker clothing and hair kept him hidden fairly well in the shadow of the door, well the little that was showing from behind the frame as he peeked around to watch the elder. Observing others was the best way to learn how to react to a given situation, after all.

After a few minutes of observation, Jethro carefully backed away from the door - and the room with the strange male. He finished exploring the dojo, but he was more cautious in his ouward appearance, now that he knew another was in the building. Once that was completed, he retrieved his shoes and started to wander around. He would eventually learn this place - its layout and rules, expectations and punishments; oh yes, he'd learn, and in doing so, teach himself how to survive. After getting thoroughly lost somehow, he managed to find a haven, a familiar place in this strange new school: the library. A smile curved across his lips for the barest fraction of a second as he slipped through the doors.
