He had just gotten out of the car that had been hired on his behalf by the Mage Council. It has dropped him outside the looming gates of the Academy they had enrolled him in.
But he was a day early. The Council, who had been all too eager to see the back of the boy had sent him across from China to Japan, a whole frikking day early. He knew why they had, he had been asking too many questions and was creating problems for them.
'Fuck it'. He thought as the driver handed the boy a large gym bag. Nodding to the driver, he slung the strap of the bag over his head and stopped. He was on the other side of the road from the Academy gates. But he was in no hurry to get into the place.
Watching the driver and the car leave with a roar of the engine. Danil stopped, he could hear the ocean. He had not been near the ocean in some time and became curious to see if it was still the same as it was in his memory.
He started walking off in the direction of the dim crashing waves, making their ever repetitve sound. It took him 10 minutes or so but he finally managd to make it there. When he arrived, he stood and stared.
It was beautiful, and still lived up to the expectations in his memory. As he stood the on the edge of the beach, just near the start of the sand. A memory came flooding back.
"Nini! Come look at this!" A boy said excitedly. Another boy, who looked exactly the same as the first in every way came running over to the first at top speed. "What is it?" The other who had responded to Nini said as he curiously peered over his twins shoulder.
"Its a sharks egg" the first responded holding up the brown casing to eye level, so the both of them could see.
"Wooow" Nini said the look of interest taking over his face entirely.Standing there he went into his own little world of his memories. He noticed nothing around him as he lost himself in the memory of his twin and himself.
The smell of the saltly ocean assulted his senses which made the old memories seem so real, as if he was watching them play out infront of him right there and then. He could see Levathian sifting through the shells looking for some thing intersting and then his father. Oh gosh his father, how he missed that old wise man.
Danil stood there for a while, reliving his memories and the emotions that came with them. Once he had a small reprieve from the barrage, he shook his head as if trying to shake the old memories from the front of his mind.
And like a placebo, it worked. The white headed teen pushed the memories back into the dusty crevices of his mind. It was time to move on and not relive the past. Well not now anyway.
With a sigh, he shifted the weight of the bag and walked of not knowing where he was really going, but it was better than standing there.
