Appearance

Hair: Black hair, that looks either blue black or purple black in some lights. His hair is thin and easy to manage but it grows quickly so it is either just below his ears and hanging over his eyes or nearer to his shoulders.
Eyes: Light blue, but he wears contacts so they can be red.
Height: Not very tall Aoi stands at around 5'5 or 1.67cm
Build: Thin. He doesn't work out so any muscle on him is just natural.


Character Personality
Aoi is rather shy and slightly detached when one meets him, as he never knows what to say. Words evade him and he becomes withdrawn. He has been like this most of his life, never talking much but when he did it was only when he needed to or small words or noises to indicate some thing. Which is rather strange when most people hear that he is a singer. For the teen, hiding and being anonymous is nice. He prefers to just float along and not be noticed. Which is one of the reasons he hides his face, so he can continue his trend of being unnoticed. But when he is singing, the fears of being in the spot light and being noticed seem to dissolve. On stage he becomes confidant and energetic, almost like a new person, but still with a mask on. But Aoi feels that life and his fears of being in the spot light and being noticed melt away. All the while on stage he can sing to his hearts content, but still be detached and slightly anonymous. Having very few friends, who are used to how Aoi is, he is able to throw his fear aside and become a little more talkative and responsive to those around him.

Character Background
Always a quiet and shy child, Aoi is used to a quiet household. His parents and soft and gentle people who, like their son have a few close friends but nothing more. He grew up with his best friend Nisei, from next door. Nisei, when they met was curious about why Aoi was so quiet but soon grew used to it and became firm friends.

By the time the two started school, the two were inseparable. For the whole of their primary school life they were in the same classes and did every thing together. But soon Nisei seemed to 'out grow' Aoi. As they grew older, interests changed and Nisei wanted more than from life. He started thinking about girls and started hanging around other people, while Aoi was left behind on his own.

The two by this time were 15.

Aoi knew it would some day happen so he just went on his silent way, becoming more withdrawn from people. He was hurt a little from Nisei's actions, but couldn't really blame his friend as the teen knew he was awkward and weirdly silent.

Soon all of this changed as his parents one day caught him singing to himself, a talent that for most of his life had never really thought about. Knowing how shy and socially awkward their son was they persuaded him to go to an audition for a music label.

Which surprisingly he was in the top 3. To his parents (and to his own surprise his) disappointment he didn't make it in to the auditioned part. But word passed onto another label about his voice and he was once again asked to audition. This time not for a pop group, but for a heavier rock group. And this time he was chosen.

Soon he met the other three members that were to be his band mates and like most they were a little weirded out about how silent their singer was, but like Nisei, they soon became accustomed to it.

Writing and recording the bands songs flew by and soon they were to debut to the world, but they had one problem. The band still had one problem. They had no name. In a random flash of inspiration, it was Aoi who came up with the name of 'Bitter End.'

Now that they had a name, they were to record a music video. Something that freaked Aoi out so much that they had to think of a solution quickly otherwise they would get no where. The drummer Tomoya was the one who helped calm Aoi down and came up with the idea that Aoi could wear a mask. It would give the singer a comfort zone and later on their fan base would show up in their masses wearing gas masks. It soon became the bands icon.

Because of this shot to fame within the rock scene, Aoi found he had suddenly became very popular at school once he had returned from a 3 month tour. He was surrounded by people daily and suddenly shot into an uncomfortable spot light. Which only, once again freaked him out. So much so that he refused to attend school any more.

His parents having little choice, sent him to a private boarding school called Alculard Private Academy, where he was assured he would be safe and would not be hounded by the students.
