Character Personality
He is very pessimistic at times and believes in the ‘what can go wrong, will go wrong.’ theory. He is constantly yelling at students who make mistakes. He does not have any respect for students who are trouble makers and has no problem in sending them to detention or assigning them extra homework. He is purposefully harder on the ones he doesn’t like and takes joy in making that class hell for them. He is somehow able to sense when students are causing trouble in his class when his back is turned. He will often assign 1000-1500 word essays to those students. He does have a soft spot for teacher’s pets though and usually has one every year. He often spends his off time reading or drinking at a local bar. He is very hard when grading and will look for the smallest little wrong detail to mark off. He doesn’t believe in giving perfect grades since he doesn’t think anyone is perfect, including himself. He has many barriers set up to protect himself from getting hurt. He doesn’t want to be hurt again so he is often very rude to people he doesn’t know well. He can even be rude to his friends at times. He is known for being in a bad mood quite a bit. Even when he is in a good mood he is cruel to his students. He often throws things when he is particularly mad. He isn’t trusting of overly nice people and believes they always have a hidden agenda. The man can’t stand when people are loud and obnoxious. Cailean does not tolerate tardiness. He will send someone out if the are tardy even three seconds late. He has a clock with a second hand for this very specific reason.

Character Background
”I think I can tell them about my own past. I don’t need you to do everything woman. I grew up in a small orphanage somewhere in the country. It was a poor one and I wasn’t well liked. They told me a woman had dropped me off when I was just a small baby. A newborn most likely. I couldn’t have been no older then a month. I was rather girlish looking when I was younger and the other boys didn’t like that but one man did. They guy who ran the orphanage apparently had a thing for pretty boys and I apparently fell into that category. At first it was little things like he would give me extra food or I would get to take longer breaks. The other boys didn’t like that I got special treament so they decided to beat me up for it. I would always run to the head guy though. His name was Itayu actually. He would take care of my wounds and such.

After a while he got more forward. He would pull me aside and touch me weirdly. I was young then, about 5 or 6, so I didn’t see anything wrong with it. He simply told me it was love. That I was more special. I wanted to believe him. He also told me that the other boys wouldn’t be happy if they found out so I had to keep quiet about it. I simply went along with it.

He took my virginity when I was twelve. It was then I knew something was off. None of the other boys were treated like this. This wasn’t normal. I actually found out this when one of the women who worked there found a hickey on my shoulder that had been carelessly left by the old man. She freaked out and asked who did it. I ended up blaming it on one of the other boys. He ended up getting beat furiously. By now they had learned all about gays and such. They decided to show me what happened when I blamed their precious leader and ganged up on me. They pinned me down and stripped me. After they raped me multiple times, they took a knife they had stolen from the kitchen and wrote the word ‘fag’ going down the left side of my back.

I ran away after that. I refused to live in a place where so many bad things seemed to happen to me. I wandered for days stopping in random towns here and there. Eventually a old couple found me. They said I look a lot like their son did when he was my age. It was simply because of this they took me in and gave me a home. I loved the old couple.

When I turned fifteen, the old lady died. I couldn’t take the death of someone so precious of me so I left the town. The old man understood and gave me some money to go to Tokyo. Tokyo was huge. Full of promising jobs for a teenager like me. I decided to go to school. The old couple had put me through some schooling and I excelled in everything especially history. I managed to make into a pretty good school on a scholarship. Here I became the top of my class. I actually graduated early and went to college. There I met the man who I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. His name was Mikah. He was so kind and caring. I was in love.

He confessed to me the day of my 22nd birthday. He had said that I was the only one for him. It was terribly cheesy but I loved it none the less. I thought it was the most perfect night ever. We spent a total of one year together. We even bought an apartment together after 3 months. Only one year after he had confessed, he disappeared. It was actually the day of my birthday too. He left a note.

’I am sorry Cailean but I have to go. I will most likely never see you again. This may seem like a surprise to you but I have had this planned for about two months. I fell for someone else. In fact I have loved them for quite a long time. The only reason I seemed to have fallen for you was because you reminded me greatly of them. I hope that you have a wonderful life and find someone who can love you like you loved me.
