Bran is just a normal teenage boy. He was smart enough to get a scholarship to attend Alculard, where he applies so he could be as far away from his parents as possible. He has a bit of a temper, but he rarely ever gets violent. His biggest pet peeve is being told that vampires exist.

Bran hates his parents. There is no way to avoid that fact. Why? Because his parents are Vampire Hunters, descended from a long line of warriors against the "undead." To Bran, they're just the sort of people who should be locked away in an asylum somewhere, heavily sedated.

Bran was forced into training when he was six, though his parents did tell him stories that their family had passed down through the generations. At six, he was proud of his family, believing the stories they told. However, when he was eight, his teacher assigned the class to write a short essay about their heroes and read it to the class. When he read his, the students laughed, and his teacher scolded him for not taking the assignment seriously. His heroes had been the vampire hunters in his parents' stories.

After that, he started to get angry with his parents. Their relationship went further downhill as he became increasingly convinced that vampires weren't real. The downward spiral finally ended with his application to (and departure for) Alculard's Paradise Academy.


These words are the very same ones Bran told his father the day he left for Alculard. Little did he know how happy his parents were that he'd decided to go to the Japanese school...
