Counselor Room- Martial Arts (Open during Office Hours)

Kailyn manages to make it to the staff Counselors Room. He dropped his bag in a heap near his door while he turned on the light. Class toady gave him quite a scare since one of his normal students misbehaved again. Soole almost got hurt from the ordeal as she was just observing the class. Kai walks over to his desk which sat across from Akira's as he turned on the Modded Gateway computer. He looked at his stack of paperwork he knew he needed to grade before the week was over but right now he was not in the mood to even touch them. As the computer started up he went to the filing cabinets and looked for his Class A files. Once he found the Manila Folder he pulled it out and closed the drawer quietly. As he walked back to his desk he turned on his desk lamp and set the light on low so it will be dim in the room. Bright lights hurt his eyes from time to times so Akira had special lights placed in there instead of regular bulbs. Kailyn brought up the Files of his Class A folder and started their spreadsheet so he can input their grades. Kai has a physical copy as well as a digital because computers crash from time to time so he just wanted to be prepared.

While he was grading and recalling everyone's performance he went online to check for emails and order more supplies for the Dojo. At least it will be here in the morning or by afternoon. During that time he will have what he needs to wipe the floors and mats down. Kai looked at his phone as he was trying to figure out what to do before his next class. Tosen may call again like usual and ask to go drinking or Saiyuki may call and ask him to be a model for her art class again. Kai shuddered a little bit thinking about it. He loved art and he loved helping her but some of the poses she made him do were kind of extreme. Sometimes he couldn't use his tail to hide his member because she wanted him to stand a certain way. Kai did anything she asked for just so he wouldn't become a vampires next meal. Other Makai's, like himself, are seen as candy and vampires will suck them dry if they could. Kai shook his head as he tried to concentrate on his work again.

Akira sighed as he opened the door and entered the room. As much as he would have loved to put off grading the papers that he had been putting off and continue talking with Koichi, he had made a promise to himself that he would get them back to the students in......less then eight hours, Akira confirmed as he glanced at his watch. Looked like another all nighter again. Why was it that whenever he tried to help his students prepare for things, it meant more paperwork for him? But he couldn't help himself. Whenever he sees a student struggling, he couldn't help but do everything in his power (besides giving them a grade that had nothing to do with how much of the material they actually understood) to help that student be successful. Granted, that usually mean that Akira was giving that specific student more assignments, but tended to forget who actually had to GRADE the assignments. Upon reaching the office that he shared with Kailyn, Akira's gaze narrowed on the pink haired man as he moved to sit at his desk.

"Is class out already, Kailyn-san? I didn't think I was running that late..."

While he drowned in all of his paperwork Kailyn heard the door open but he didn't look up. As he heard Akira talk Kai looked up surprised to see him. Usually Akira was roaming the Dorm halls making sure students were in their locations as they were supposed to be in bed by now. "Akira?! I thought you would be running the dorms by now. Class ended about 10 minutes ago." Kai mentions as he heads back to his paperwork again trying to finish before someone calls him for something. That is usally the norm around here for the night barely has teachers to cover for it. "We had a minor issue in class today as well. So if Soole wanders into your class with Zack. Tell her I apologize about what happened. The report is on your desk in the Dojo." Kai mentions as his printer warms up signalling that he is about to print up some works and file them away.

As he finished grading the last of his students on their performance today Kai sighed and leaned back into his chair. "So what has brought the almighty Akira here to his rarely used office tonight?" Kai mocked as he smirked. Akira hated offices let alone sharing one but he seemed to get along with Kai just fine compared to other teachers here on campus. Kai looked at his printed work and placed the receipt in front of his desk. "That's the receipt for the supplies and the amount. So you can log that in the expense book for Ayane." Kai mentions as he takes his new graded paperwork and adds it to his stack on top. He then gets up and places the folder back into the proper drawer and closes it gently again. He sits down and relaxes as he watches Akira. "IS everything okay with Koichi? He rushed out of the meeting so fast it startled me a little?" As Ironic as this may sound the staff consider each one as a brother or sister. That is because of how long they have been here and how well they tend to get along with each other and when one is concerned then the others will be as well. Koichi is no different and seeing what happed earlier is not something that Kai feels should be brushed off.

“Yeah, I did. I just didn’t take my time like I usually do because I completely forgot about the tests I’m supposed to start handing back in………three hours.” Akira sighed as he glanced at his watch before setting his briefcase down on his desk. His golden eyes narrowed slightly as he sat down, picking up the receipt and glanced it over. Finding nothing wrong with it, he placed it in his briefcase and took out the 100 some odd tests he had to grade. When Kailyn asked about Koichi, Akira sighed once more, pausing to pinch the bridge of his nose, a personal habit he never seemed to be able to break.

“Mira came by….as in came on campus and stopped by his apartment.” Shaking his head slightly, Akira glanced into light blue eyes. “He’s worried that she’s going to apply for the Nurse position, and I can’t help but share his concern. Just going off what he told me, she’s more than perfect for the job. She meets every single qualification that the Alculards would have and more.” Akira’s frown deepened as he realized that Kailyn had said something about the class today. Amber eyes narrowed slightly.

“What happened?”

Since Kai was done with his work he leaned back into the comfort of the chair. "Tests?! You forgetting something like that makes me laugh. The Almighty Akira according to your students. I thought you did them so long ago?" Kai watched as his partner sat down but he looked so tense Kai figured not to tease him tonight like they normally do. He saw him pull out a large stack of papers and Kai was kind of shocked. Akira normally is on top of things but he has been slacking as of late. Maybe this was why the man couldn't sleep. He then leaned back himself and Kai could sense this was not going to be good.

The name Mira hit his ears like glass shattering from being hit. Koichi has mentioned this name before and whenever it came to her it was never good. "Mira?! His EX!!! That's not good. How did she manage to get on Campus without clearance? She may have the stats for it but now that will raise concern about Koichi. She will be EVERYWHERE! I just know it. And we still don't have a academy doctor yet! I know I am a Physical Therapist but there is only so much tht I can really do. A can't be a sub doctor the whole time! This is going to be a nightmare. Especially if they go through with this and she lives in the apartments." Kai's tail twitches at the thought. The man wasn't getting enough sleep as is and now this...such bad timing on all parts.

Kai was so into the Koichi situation he didn't even notice they went back to the topic at hand. His ears flatten against his head. "Well we had one of the lycans go out of control against Ayzen tonight. He even went after Soole but Ayzen handled the situation smoothly. Unfortunately it landed the kid in the hospital. Ayzen was hurt but okay as far as Soole goes she ran off but I don't know where. I will have to go to the hospital later on and find out what his injuries were." Kai mentions as he looks back at the golden orbs. "The full report is on your desk in the Dojo office." He mentions as he tries to relax.

Akira chuckled slightly at his nickname. He really didn’t understand how he had obtained the nickname. A small group of his students had just randomly started calling him that about a couple of years ago. Now every one of his students did. Not that he minded. “Yeah, that’s what I thought. They were piled under the papers I was handing out earlier today….I completely forgot about them. And my Chemistry class as been so busy with group projects that they forgot as well.” He shrugged slightly when Kailyn mentioned Mira as he quickly graded the first paper and moved on to the next one.

“Your guess is as good as mine. I told Koichi I would speak to Ayane about it. You how she frowns upon trespassers.” Finishing the second one he moved onto the third. Grading tests had never been a problem for him; actually he could usually get all his students’ tests graded within 30-45 minutes. He was fond of the scan-tron, and liked to organize his answers in a certain patteren, thus making them extremely easy to grade. “As usual, we share the same thoughts. I suggested that if Mira were to get hired, that Koichi get a restraining order. It might not work, seeing as they are working at the same place, but if he gets it before she applies, then maybe that will keep her from getting hired.” Upon hearing about tonight's class, he paused, glancing up at the pink haired teacher in slight shock.

“Really?” Akira had to bite down a chuckle as he shook his head slightly. “It doesn’t surprise me that he ended up there….Ayzen is one of six top students. But to go after Soole….” Akira sighed slightly, pinching the bridge of his nose again. “Normally, I would say that his injuries are enough of a punishment, but to go after an innocent is simply unacceptable, even in practice.” Glancing up at Kailyn, Akira nodded. “I will be sure to look at it later today before class. While I have you here, I have a proposition for you that may tie in with the Alculards’ wish for merging the classes. You know how far Zack has advanced, and honestly, there is nothing more I can teach him. He’s been asking whether he can join you guys in the night and I am inclined to agree with the fact that he would benefit from the transfer.”

Akira does so much and yet Kailyn doesn't have to teach as much as this man does. He does have to tend to the teams since he is a Physical Therapist. So normally he has enough time to grade and be done with it. Sometimes he helps Akira out but it all depends on the subjects he is teaching. Kai swishes his tail a bit since it does get stiff when he sits for so long.

"If Ayane finds out about her being ON campus she will throw a fit. Maybe more. You remember what happened last time someone came on campus. The security got ahold of him and he almost lost his life. Try explaining that in court." Kailyn mentions as he recalls Alric catching the guy in the night classes snooping and taking pictures. The media sometimes get in but get caught too often. "Well a restraining order may be too late as of right now. But they can prevent her access to the apartments and have her live off campus or something. But the campus is what bothers me the most. Koichi talked to me about giving him sleeping pills strong enough to knock him out. This woman even invades his dreams. So sad man!" Koichi is a great friend and for her to be around the staff was definitely going to be a bit edgy now. It's not like she hasn't attempted this before but everyone knows that she will not quit either.

After Akira heard the news about Ayzen and the confrontation. True he was one of their top 6 black belts and so was Zack. After hearing Zack's name pop up Kailyn's eyebrow went up. "A proposition?? On Zack Muuren correct? Hmmmm...." Zack is one of their top Day Students and he had made the suggestion to Ayane after the meeting. He is still cautious though because Night can still be unpredictable. Like tonight and he wasn't willing to face such a thing again. "Well I am willing to see how he can handle it but it will have to be after spring break since that is coming up soon. We should discuss this with Ayane and the rest of the family to see what they say about it. But I'm down for it. Maybe Ayzen will actually have a little competition now." Kailyn smirked as he knew Ayzen needed the attention in certain tactics. "So what lies in wait for you after this Akira? Got plans for the night before you classes begin?" Kai was curious since him an Akira rarely run into each other but it was nice when they did.

Akira winced slightly as Kailyn brought up the poor, unfortunate reporter who was only trying to do a cover story of the school. Though it was kind of his fault because the Alculard family HAD told him no….talk about being bound and determined. A slight chuckle escaped his lips as he was about half way through his tests. “They would all either think that we were insane for believing such things exist for believe such things, or shut down the school and take the entire night class, both teachers and students, into custody out of fear alone….” Sighing, he messaged the space of skin between his brows. Sometimes living in a world that was in denial was more trouble than it was worth.

“Oh….I didn’t know that …” Akira’s eyes widened slightly at the other man as he processed the information. “I’ll never understand how she could hate Koichi so badly as to want him to suffer thus….There really is no justification.” Akira mentioned as he continued grading, his golden eyes scanning down the columns, marking the ones that were wrong and circling the grade before moving on.

“Yes, that’s correct. I was thinking after the break as well. I had my doubts about Zack being with the night students, but whatever happens, I think that Ayzen will be more than willing to help you protect Zack against anyone who attempts to do him serious harm.”Akira murmured softly as he finished his tests. Setting them back in his briefcase, he leaned back in his chair, turning his full attention on the man before him.

“Well, that was an interesting choice of words…..” Akira chuckled slightly before continuing. “I was going to try to catch up on the sleep I’m currently losing, but I’m too keyed up now to sleep.” His eyes narrowed playfully on Kailyn as a small smirk began to play with his lips. “Why do you ask, Kailyn-sensei?”

Kailyn chuckled on the inside when he caught Akira flinch abit about the reporter. But when he mentioned the whole arrest Kailyn's ears went down a bit. "Yeah...I guess they would." Kailyn didn't like that thought as his fur stood up and he shivered a bit. It wasn't like he has never been arrested before but to know that all of his students would be as well made him a little upset. He loved the students like he loved the staff he didn't want that to ever happen. Maybe that IS why this campus was never known unless by word of mouth. Media was forbidden here and maybe that was one of the reasons why.

Once Akira got the information about Koichi and the night pills it seemed to place him in shock. Kailyn flicked his tail as he looked right into the golden orbs. It's not like he wasn't told to say anything but something deep down told him he shouldn't have if Akira was going to question him about it later. "Well women can be very scary. They tend to hold grudges...and very long ones mind you." Kai flinched a bit because he remembers the girls who hated him because they wanted his brother.

Ayzen was a great candidate for protection and even for getting this whole thing started. They both are blackbelts and frankly Ayzen needs a fresh challenge right now. "Ayzen needs some new meat around anyways. Plus they are friends so they will get along just fine. I don't think too much will happen besides the scent of a human being there. I will have to mask that somehow." Kailyn thought about it as his tail moved up and down in his thinking mode. He didn't even realize that Akira was done grading.

"Choice of words??? Oh I'm sorry I was just curious. I have to cancel the other two training classes because those mats have blood on them so I have to wait for the supplies to come in during the morning. Tosen wanted to go drinking but he never called me yet so I have nothing to do until dawn. I can hunt but I am not in the mood to do that at the moment. I didn't mean to keep you up Akira. I'm sorry. If anything I will walk with you home. You are only a few doors down from me right?" Kailyn didn't mean to keep the man from his well deserved sleep. But the smirk on his face was giving other ideas. Kailyn secretly smirked as he figured the intentions out but he will let Akira lead in that department. "If you truly are wide awake would you care to join me for some jasmine tea??" He asked seeing if Akira would take the bait.

“Yes, well women are scary on a good day; Gods forbid you piss them off enough for them to have a grudge…” Akira chuckled slightly before becoming serious again. All joking aside, if Mira came to this school…..it would bring problems for more then just Koichi. Her anger might be directed at Koichi, but Akira knew quite a few people, Kailyn and himself included, whose anger would be directed at her. Anger caused tension, and tension did not, in any way shape or form, make for a good learning environment.

Akira smirked slightly. Honestly, from the way they acted around each other, Zack and Ayzen looked at each other; they were more then just friends. Or if they weren’t they no doubt would be in the future. Which of course seemed to fit in with Kailyn’s choice of words, again. If Akira liked the man for anything, it was the way he phrased things. His eyes narrowed in interest as he gazed at the teacher. He could mask a human’s scent? He distantly wondered how that would work as Kailyn continued talking.

“Yes, that’s correct…and Jasmine tea actually sounds really good right about now…” Akira smiled brightly as he stood, grabbing his briefcase in the process. Moving around his desk, he turned off the small light and nodded to Kailyn. “Thank you.”

Well Kai figured he will have to be on his toes about Mira if she truly did start working on campus Nothing seemed right about her coming now. Her grudge towards the man was unhealthy and she was spreading it to Koichi. "Well I am willing to help if you guys need it?" Kai mentions as he gets up to get his duffel bag and shut off his light as he opens the door to exit.

"Tea is always good. I guess we can chat some more until you are ready to go home." Kai mentins as he shuts off the light and they leave.
