Tadashi calls him]

Breed: Jaguar (melanistic, commonly called "Black Panther")
Occupation/Grade: high school Senior/wants a "real job," but hasn't gotten permission to even apply yet
Dreams/Life Goals: He really wants to figure out how to look normal! He would also like to be able to stand on his own two feet, instead of relying on scholarships and other people. On a more substantial note, he'd like to be a lawyer to advocate the rights of non-humans.
{Nemo and Tadashi, his alpha}
Hair: charcoal gray
Eyes: gold
Height: 5 foot even
Build: slender, almost feminine, petit
Likes: chocolate, Rob Zombie (any alt rock, really), having friends, those who make their own way
Loves: NUTELLA~<3, his mom
Dislikes: being lonely, being made fun of for his appearance, people touching his ears or tail, relying on others
Turn on: having his ears touched
Personality: Nemo is a bit antisocial, but that's only because nobody makes the first move toward friendship. If someone shows him an ounce of kindness, he lights up, becoming playful, friendly...and easily distracted/amused. He is easily hurt, but he'll never shun a gentle hand and a shoulder to cry on.
{Nemo, as a kit (He was sooo tiny!), with his mother,
Azumi.}
Background:Nemo grew up in a tiny, one bedroom apartment with his mother, who was only 17 when he was born. Money was tight, but his mother tried her best. She worked two jobs to make ends meet and a third in attempts to save up money so her son wouldn't have to sleep on the fold-out sofa anymore. Even though Nemo didn't get to spend much time with his mother growing up, he's always admired her for her strength and, once he was old enough to truly understand it, her work ethic.
As a child, Nemo was clumsy, always falling down and getting bruises in places that didn't even make sense. When he was ten, his mother was accused of being abusive, and he was removed from her care while she was sent to prison. He spent the next two years in the foster care system, where he was forced to hide the fact that he's not human. Unfortunately, this came to be impossible when he accidentally locked himself out of his human form...
He's always been a bit clumsy with his shifting, and one day, a friend of his, Tadashi (a wolf shifter), dared him to try and stop his transformation midway between panther and human. Nemo was kinda stupid and tried it. And, of course, found that it was impossible. However...something went wrong when he tried to turn back into a human. He couldn't get rid of the panther ears and tail. He's tried several times, but he can't seem to figure out how to get his human form back.
Needless to say, his
human foster parents freaked out when they realized the "neko headband" they thought the then 12-year-old shifter was wearing was actually his own ears. He ended up being chased out of their home. After this, he took a bus into the city to talk to his case worker. He offered her a deal: if she'd work to get his mother out of jail, he'd get his grades out of the gutter and get scholarships to be able to go to a boarding school. But he would never live in a foster home again.
He jumped from school to school, but had trouble fitting in. {The ears are kinda hard to miss.} To him, it seems like every guy thinks he's a freak, and every girl becomes a screaming fangirl who wants to put a collar with a bell on him. He's constantly teased and called a neko, which he absolutely hates. This is what has driven him to become antisocial, even though he wishes he had friends. He's come to Alculard with the hopes that he'll fit in better among the Night class students.
OMENBackground:Over the course of his life, Nemo noticed that some of his behaviors brought unwanted attention to him, and that these same behaviors made even his densest human classmates joke that he wasn't human. Due to this, Nemo began to suppress any quality that caused this problem. At some point, a divide seemed to develop between this “animal” side and the “human” side he allowed others to see. Nemo started to fear the moment his instincts kicked in because that was the moment the suppressed traits would surface.
His fear of his animal nature led Tadashi to joke that the animal and the human Nemo were mirrors, a reverse of each other. He’s the one that named Nemo’s animal side “Omen,” in mockery at the idea that Nemo could be his own opposite.
Omen, it is important to note, is NOT an alter ego. He is still Nemo, but he’s lost control of his instincts and becomes more animal than human. To put it in Freudian terms, Nemo has suppressed his id (Omen), causing any diversion from his normal behavior to become exaggerated and more dangerous.
Personality as Omen:Violent, cold and stubborn, as Omen, Nemo is anything but his cheerful self. He is extremely over-protective and gains a morbid sort of pleasure from pain: it reminds him that he’s not dead yet and still controls his own life. This makes him as likely to stand there and take a hit as he is to tear your throat out for it. That being said, the most any of Nemo’s friends have ever gotten from the jungle cat is a vivid black eye.
“Omen” is not the sort to back down from any challenge (as opposed to the non-confrontational attitude that Nemo typically possesses) and is sometimes seen as a troublemaker. In fact, he’s usually the one who starts a fight, rather than waiting for one to happen.
The biggest difference between them, however, is the fact that, when he lets his instinct control him and “becomes Omen,” he ceases to be so damn clumsy.
Effects of Experimentation on Family:
mosaic genetics of unclear origin
abnormally high metabolism
sudden bursts of inhuman strength
bloodlust
slight healing ability
"swirling" eyes
Some traits are Vampiric, some are Demonic. The eyes are most likely the result of gene manipulation. These traits have been passed down to Nemo from his mother.
