Personality:
Everything that has ever mattered to her seems to disappear and takes a piece of her heart each time. Abandoned by most of her family, she’s on the verge of losing faith and becoming like the rest of the zombies that walk the earth; useless. Tired of always losing what’s dear to her, she has learned how to hide her cold, distant demeanor giving people what they want; a facade of happiness.

A daydreamer, playing in a world where the grass really is greener; the sun always shines; where innocence still exists; a place she never knew. She often uses her dreams as an escape from the constant swirl of thoughts and memories rattling around in her head or when something has attempted to crack the shell around her heart again. She doesn’t like when the memories and questions comes to the surface. It causes her to face the past and the present; to face her heart; it means to have to feel and feelings have become much too trivial to deal with. In the end, it only means heartbreak and disappointment.

Quiet, but not as shy as she once was, she doesn’t mind having people in her life as long as they don’t get too close. She can’t hold a decent conversation, words just never come out right or she simply has nothing to say, but she does like to listen. It helps her concentrate on something other than her own issues, depending on the person. What people don’t know can’t hurt them, or rather, it protects her and the minute someone tries to cross that threshold, she’ll change the subject.

Background
A mother that couldn't stand her, show her love, or kindness, more so as the years went on because her wretched father had other things in mind for his daughter. She was an object of desire, a toy for him to play with, to touch. Her brother, Ichiro, whom protected her, could no longer help due to a coma she (according to Mother) put him in, though they were merely playing on the ice and a slip sent him tumbling to the ground, smacking his head as he hit. Mother became worse. Not only was deemed a sinner, her mother made sure she knew it with a few trips to the hospital and bruises she had to lie to teachers about. The abuse from both never got easier, not even after her brother awoke from his coma, though now he did try his best to become her protector once again, though his efforts were ineffective.

On Nori’s 11th birthday something strange happened. She changed, or transformed more like it, into a small, black cat. Her mother was horrified, while her father, as a scientist, was fascinated, but before he could capture her and take her for testing, she changed back into a human with a pair of ears and a tail. Nori pleaded with them for help and her father attempted to calm her with false hope, but her mother came at her, attacking her with intent to kill. Ichiro saved her and brought her to a nearby hospital where the nurses and doctors were shocked her wounds healed so fast, though she dose still have to scar from the blade her mother cut her with. During her stay in the hospital, she told her brother she would not return to the house. The same night, she left the hospital.

For years she wandered the streets, hiding in alleys and sleeping behind dumpsters, usually in her cat form, never aging. She found her cat form more comfortable, though it did get her into trouble sometimes with the occasional people kicking a stray to the side and random cat fights. Even as a stray house cat, she learned to hold her own. Sometimes, she wouldn’t play fair and return to her human form to run the little bastards off and laugh as they scattered away. One day, while roaming away from the city, she stumbled upon a school bustling with life during the day and at night. Completely mesmerized and curious, she would perch herself in a tree near the gates just to watch the hustle and bustle of the school for weeks. Time flew by like it was nothing and seasons changed without her knowing it, summer to fall, fall to winter.

On the evening of the first snow as the flakes began to fall, someone joined her in her tree. He was quite beautiful with light hair and red eyes and showed a kindness she had never known before. Though she was frightened, she let him stroke her fur and scratch behind her ears and speak sweet nothings to her. Every evening he would come to sit next to her in her tree, until the day he spoke the words, “I know what you are.” She was confused and terrified, but he did not waver. He told her he was a vampire, of all the other creatures that resided in this school and the family that founded Alculard Academy. He asked her to come with him and live in his dorm room. He said he would take care of her and protect her. She agreed.

Her new found friend did exactly as he said he would. He even let her wander the halls and showed her secret passages only she could fit in, but warned her of the dangers of the night. While her friend slept during the day, she would play outside with the day class, where many of the students kept her company during their lunch and after school, but would return to her friend’s room before he woke to keep him company. As the months went on the braver she became and got to the point she could show him her human form. He didn’t react the way her mother did, instead, he accepted her and told her how beautiful she was, in both forms. He was more than her friend, he was her companion.

As her courage grew, so did her curiosity. She learned to sneak around at night while the other students were in class. On one of her adventures, she met another creature, Anitan, similar to her, though he was a dog, or so she thought until he explained it to her. From that day on, she worked with him, while continuing to keep her companion close.
