8 o’clock AM. So… why the hell was he up…?

Gintoki stood in front of the iron gates, pacing for a second or two before leaning against the near by wall. Ruffling his already messy silver hair, he looked up, wincing a little as he almost unintentionally stared directly into the brightness of the sun. It seemed as though it was going to be a clear day, one of those that was usually considered ‘beautiful’. It relaxed him a little, reminded him of his old carefree days at Edo. How he would like to go back to those days. Those days where happiness and peace was not hard to come by, before the war, before all the worries, before… that incident. Gin’s usual bored and indifferent expression replaced by a more serene one; one that was never visible these days but rather the exterior that was very much familiar to him during his days of war. It seemed as though he was lost in thought. And yes, he was actually thinking. Something he admits himself he doesn’t do a lot these days.

“One month till the end of spring…” he muttered to himself dully. Lowering his gaze once more, he carefully took off his glasses he wore, slipping them into the inside of his pocket. He looked a lot younger without them, could easily pass as one of the students here rather than a teacher. His eyes, that were deep shade of red, looked more vibrant in the sun, almost giving him a serious persona with those piercing gaze… well almost. Only a moment later, the very familiar uninterested, indifferent, and, as some would call it, stupid look was back within those features.

Long time before he had to go to class. To teach a class that should no longer even be considered English. Though he realized most of his night class students were pretty serious about academics, he himself had almost forgotten how to be serious. Often times he would go off topic during class discussion and or make analogies that didn’t even make sense. Well his logic itself did not make sense; and he was quite sure his students all realized that by now.

He reached into his inside pocket as if searching for something, only to realize it was not there. Did he leave his cigarettes back in the apartment? He couldn’t really recall. “Memory loss already?” he thought out loud. “I’m not THAT old…”

Sitting perched up on the stone ridge of the main gate leading into the lands belonging to the family he was ever so stuck serving for a long time to come. Or well, a single member to this one family. Amethyst eyes turned over slowly the decretive wood of the arrow belonging to a bow he probably should not have in his hand right now. Why were the elves so decretive with about everything, from eating utensils all the way to their damn weapons meant to kill someone and be discarded, or sort of. Every family had its calling card, little Miss Fea was no different. The blond turned the arrow a different way in his hand contemplating the best play to hide himself. After all who was to justify what is ‘natural cause of death’ didn’t also mean ‘natural selection’. The grin crossed his face as he threaded the arrow into the nicely fitted and crafted short bow he had taken it out of the little woman’s armory all to sit here on this uncomfortable ledge waiting in the shadows of trees and things waiting for her to appear.

However.

Some little white haired little Lycan was standing right in the middle of his line of sight. Interesting, given a certain name that came across a roster this morning when he decided to ‘pop’ into the Alculard office to be ‘up to date’ on everything that damn elf woman demand he kept his nose in. So in turn she could keep a close net eye on everything. Though, wasn’t this little man a teacher here now. Peculiar turn of events given who this little white haired man was called some time long ago now it would seem now that he thought about it. The blonde pulled back on the arrow and bow, tensing the line a bit as he narrowed his eyes down the shaft of the wood arrow. Not noticed yet, how sad, though Kyros was very good at hiding himself using things he had learned of the elf keep of his, to easy…

And no pleasure.

The arrow slacked back in his hand as he bunched his face at the thought of releasing it just to see of this ‘white’ something or another would react. But then again, not a good idea, causing trouble directly was not his specialty after all. Torture was more fun the other and more worth his time. Sighing he stuck the sharp ended bow into its holder with the others, laying it and the bow on the ledge. He would come back for them later. Standing up, balancing with easy on the edge Kyros tilted his head one way to the other before smirking a bit as he watched the man pulled his glasses off and put them in a pocket. This would be good to pass the time, little Fealwin wouldn’t be here for some time. The breeze blew a bit against the loose white shirt he was wearing before letting the transition happen. One minute standing on the Alculard Gate the next.

“I’m not THAT old”

“ Could have fooled me.” Kyros stated simple as he held out the pack of cigarettes. “ You tend to lose a lot of things Sakata-san.”

It wasn’t as though he didn’t realize someone sneaking up on him. Considering all those battles and bloodshed, sensing another’s presence was something he involuntarily done, back then, of course, it was something necessary for survival. Though Gin didn’t have the same persona as he did during those wars, very much more indifferent and carefree just about everything, it would be a lie to say he lost his touch. Considering the way he acted these past few years along with his usual expression he carried, many would easily assumed he no longer was the ‘White Demon’, they used to call him by. The one who recklessly challenged the enemy army single handedly, killing hundreds and thousands in the blink of an eye, surviving through all the major war in the front line, to think that that was the same person as this Gintoki Sakata, no one would believe it. Not that he really minded, of course, he much preferred this quiet, simple life.

He turned his head, almost lazily as he did so. His dark blood red eyes were now focused upon the other male, a bored, uncaring look evident behind those gaze. “Who were you again?” he said almost too casually as the shorter demon. “Kiros? Or was it Karos?” his voice faded away as if he was muttering to himself. He ruffled his wavy hair once more as he fully turned his body to face the blonde. Considering the proximity of their distance, it was obvious that Gin was considerably taller than the other demon. In most cases he would think this kid was a student or something, but he knew better than that. He made the same mistake before, after all, he wasn’t stupid… that sounded very ironic coming from him. He recalled seeing this blonde somewhere before… somewhere… just didn’t know where at the given moment.

“Oh wait,” he said, his eyes widening a little. “Boonguh.”

“O, you do remember little ‘o’ me then, Sakata-san” Kyros smirked lightly as he remained standing where he was. Not bothering to be annoyed with the fact her was very much shorter than the other; that stopped bothering him so time long ago, before this memory of his could recall. That, however, did not matter playing along the little cat on his string would be far better. He was in need of amusement for a short time being until the sorts of all that was boring returned. But boring was only a thing that lasted for a short time until someone caused some little trouble.

All with his help none the less.

“ However, its Kyros to you, boonguh is the pleasure only Jin-chan gets to call me these days. Your cigarettes. ” The blonde motioned his hand slightly to turn the others attention back to the container in his hand. “ The Alculard’s don’t take to well to littering.”

“hai hai, boonguh-chan,” he said lazily as if he wasn’t even paying the slightest attention to what the blonde was saying. He turned his heels about to walk away. “Now I think about it, I haven’t checked my horoscope today,” he muttered “A warning of running into bad luck like this one would have helped.” This kid, or not really exactly a kid, just that he had a baby face that made Gintoki think he was a kid, from past experience, he knew that this demon was bad news. “Oi oi, Boonguh-chan, Gin-san is a little too busy today to be playing games with you. Why not find someone else to annoy.” He took couple steps, towards the opposite direction where Kyros stood.

“However, its Kyros to you, boonguh is the pleasure only Jin-chan gets to call me these days. Your cigarettes. ”

Gin came to a quick halt. That name, it snapped something within the other that wasn’t and couldn’t be categorized. When he turned around to face the other once again, there was no longer the apathetic persona. As his eyes turned cold and his expression abandoned the indifferent and carefree mask that he frequently wore, he looked now completely dead serious. And it was not only his look that changed, it was his whole aura. The way he carried himself, his movement, it seemed much more composed.

A cross between a smirk and a smile, but now it gave a completely different impression than what it did not only moments earlier. “Oi oi, Boonguh-chan,” he said in a low tone. “Takasugi hates being referred to as ‘chan’.”

“Only I get to call him that.”

“O?” Kyros smirked darkly at the other Amethyst eyes daring the other on under long blond bangs before he disappeared from the others sight. Away from the spot the other had seen him standing before reappearing again behind him, standing up on a ball of air to be level with the others ear. A teasing breath of reminder upon his flesh, a reminder that this little demon child was not to be caught as easy as one might thing. “ Don’t you know, TIME changes things… it just doesn’t erase them.

As quick as he appeared behind him, the blonde demon disappeared again as silent as a breeze of gentle wind in the summer heat. A coy, empty laugh dancing about in the breeze before he reappears sitting on the stone wall of the school gate turning the single arrow in his hand again looking uninterested.

“ I doubt Jin-chan ever minded little ‘o’ me. Not at all..Kintoki”

“Gintoki.”

He turned around abruptly. Face to face with the dark haired man who emerged from the large tent. This man, he didn’t look past 20, though those dark navy eyes held composer and intelligence well beyond his age. As always the other seemed to have a distant look about him, though human, as if he was living above it all. “Katsura…”

“Takasugi… he might permanently lose his sight.”

Gin stood there. silent.

“I… after the war… I’m going to return his feelings… I was going to confess…right now, but he’s not even giving me a chance to explain-”

“Katsura, if it’s because of guilt-“

“Its not. I know it’s not. Gintoki… I love him.”

So what? You are still a human. In the end, you’ll leave him. Jin covered his feelings for you, in order to protect the country you love. This country that you value over him. And now you tell me, that you still want to be with him? Why can’t you think about his feelings? Why are you so damn selfish!

“Gintoki…”

“I…” A grin appeared on his face. “I wish you both luck, Katsura. I pray for both of your happiness.”


He shook his head slightly, trying to get the memories to fade away. He wasn’t sure what this demon really meant by his words, or how much he really know. But from what he gathered, this blonde has been watching them throughout that bloody war. The question is, what has he seen?

His eyes narrowed but his smirk didn’t fade away. “Oi oi, Boonguh, you talk as if you know something or two.”

“Oi, oi, now that’s a strange statement, ” The little blonde soul eater turned the arrow in his hand, turning the tip of the arrow into his finger with a thoughtful look on his face. Not really looking down at the other. Toy, play, twist and turn manipulate reality until well, there is no difference between reality and fantasy mind left in madness. Well now, that’s when the real fun begins thought, souls pursued in madness that die in madness.. umm a tasty thought to think of. The arrow picked the end of his hand, making the drip of dark unnaturally black blood drip along the head. A slight frown crossed over his place.

But that wasn’t for this place. The souls of sinners are not always as tasty.


“ He thinks the Boonguh only ones a thing or two.. A thing or two…” Vacant eyes turned over the black blood dripping down his finger a bit not really looking or focus at what was close to him. Speaking more to nothing then to himself or Sakata, eyes looking over his pricked finger. “A thing or two, a thing or two…..I wonder I wonder…A thing or two…”


He disappeared again from sigh without so much more than a thought. Appearing again behind him again, arrow resting on his right shoulder as the blond looked forward at nothing settle before turning to look at the white haired Lycan again.

“Oi, oi, Kintoki this boonguh knows enough to survive…to feed.” His head turn sharply in a slight dark sinister smirk. “ Kyros Seele, knows more than a thing or two just depends on who wants the knowing… and what thy be willing to give..”

As the voice could be heard behind him, he didn’t attempt to turn around. A second passed, then two.

This demon. What was he playing at? This mind game that he seemed to have got himself involved in, it will do no good for him other than a painful headache later. Though in truth Gintoki would like nothing better than to strangle this blonde here and now, that would be too much of a mess to clean up. Of course, physically Gin had the upper hand out of the two of them, however if this game continued, he might not be able to control himself.

“Oi, Boonguh-chan,” he called out. When he took a glace behind him, his eyes, there were the same indifferent look in them as before. The smirk was now gone, but was replaced by rather a blank, bored look. “Gin-san doesn’t have spare time to be wasted on you.” He ruffled his hair again, while he lazily strolled to the nearest wall, leaning on it once more. “I’m a busy person you know, Boonguh. I have to go home and check my horoscope and my sugar level is low, I didn’t even have my chocolate parfait yet. Oh… and didn’t the weekly JUMP came out yesterday? I should go get that.” As he continued it seemed like he was talking more to himself than to Kyros.

When his eyes fell on the blonde once more, he seemed to snap back to reality. “Get to the point, Kiros.” The way he said it, it seemed that he really mispronounced the demon’s name by accident. Or more of the fact, he was simply just bad with names.

Amethyst eyes turned over the arrow in his hand while the other walked away from him to lean against the stone wall. Now now, no fun in that if Sakata-kun won’t play along in this guessing game. What was better to use though, a sin against its sinner or just letting on remember for himself his own sin? Interesting way of looking at it, the blonde wasn’t one to get his hands really dirty anymore it was more fun of a game to see how much he could get into motion by itself. Parfait? Horoscopes? What a sad way for such a great ‘warrior’ to fall, not even the same emotional balance anymore. Perhaps Sakata-kun has done a better job at driving himself into the blindness of madness of his own.

All the white demon needed was a little reminder of who he really was. No one could escape from their past after all, not even in the cold grasp of death themselves.

“ O Sakata-sensei, oi Sakata-sensei….” Blonde hair fell over the amethyst eyes as he tilted his head to look at the other. “ I wonder I wonder, what you will think of the new student roster this morning Or I wonder if you still even care..”

“Damn I’m getting a headache from your annoying voice. Shut up will ya?” He said as he leaned his head back. Looking up at the sky, now it seemed too joyous of a mood for this day. “Maybe its from lack of sugar,” he said in a low whisper. “chocolate parfait or fruit… they both sound pretty good…”

This personality that he had, it wasn’t a split personality, nor can anyone really call it a fake. Both, serious and composed as well at the side of indifference and uncaring, it was all that made him Gintoki Sakata. None of it was pretence and it wasn’t as though he had two polar opposite personality that he switched back and forth, both were part of who he was. And of course, there was a time where it was all equally balanced. One did not overrule the other and none was stronger part of him than the rest. Those times where he was free to laugh when it was time for laughter, to be serious when the situation called for it… it was all in the past. For years now, it wasn’t that he became a different person, or really changed. He simply locked a part of himself away, the part that caused this whole madness.

“Ora? Roster?” he repeated turning his focus back to the shorter male. Well all in truth, he didn’t really even check the roll sheet every day. “What about it, Boong-uh?”

“Oi Oi, you haven’t looked yet? You’re a sensei here at this school and you don’t know to look at the new student roster?”” Kyros laughed slightly at the man, ignoring the point of him finding Kyros a headache. Nothing new, Sakata-kun found about anything that was sugar coated annoying when he was ‘lacking’ his addiction. The blonde turned the arrow in his hand for a moment pondering if he should just leave it at that and go back to waiting for that damn elvin woman return from gods knows.

But where was the fun in that if he couldn’t see his face.

Oi Oi, no fun at all.

The blonde disappeared from sight again only to materialize above the white haired man sitting on the edge of the wall, this time with the bow along with the little arrow. Treading the thing through again since Sakata-kun had moved out of the way. Down on the sidewalk that lead up to the gates of the school was the pattern of the Alculard, that damned woman’s crest upon the stone. A coy look upon his face.

“You know, Kintoki I have seen him in some odd places over these centuries, wondering aimlessly and without care for so long…But I think the last place I would think to see him….” Kyros smirked dancing around the name, letting it come to the other on his own. Time to see how dense and dumb the years have made him.”But a school, as a student, now that’s a twist with you a teacher.”

It all happened in a quick second. He jumped. And even before both his foot touched the edge of break wall, the lycan lunged and grabbed a handful of those blonde locks. “It’s GINTOKI not KINTOKI!” A harsh pull, and before they knew it they were on the hard cement floor, Kyros who landed on his back and Gin who now was kneeling on top of him. There was a crack amongst the ground which they landed and where now Kyros was currently lying over, however, Gintoki knew better then to think something like this could kill the little demon. At most it would have given the other a quick shock. After all, they weren’t easily broken like humans.

His eyes twitched as he stared down at Kyros, his dark red eyes clearly evident with annoyance and distaste. As the dust started to clear and the loud thud echoed and died, he let go of the blonde’s shoulder which he was pushing harshly down on. Gin started to his feet, adjusting himself back to his full height. “Now Kyros, call me by that again and I’ll make sure rest of your breath is knocked away.”

“You know, Kintoki I have seen him in some odd places over these centuries, wondering aimlessly and without care for so long…But I think the last place I would think to see him….”

Those words were now repeating in his head. “tsk, so you have been following him.” Though he still wore the same blank look, the uninterested and bored gaze was now gone.

The sudden movement pulling him down off the wall his perch above the world as it was and tearing him down to slab him against the stone path below. Predictable, maybe, depending how you looked upon it. The sinner bring ‘god’ back down to the ground below. And for what? It was just a little tease better to remember your fallen friends then to forget them unless… there was a reason to forget. But the little Lycan had something he was going to have to learn as he grinned looking up at him from the ground below..

Or was he?

Hard to tell when your vision is split in two, the view from the ground below and from the ledge of the wall.

“ Come now, since when do Devil’s breathe?”” the ghost of an image laughed as he disappeared from the ground and became solid again back on the wall. A simple timed trick, but it didn’t mean he couldn’t feel the pain in his back from hitting the ground. But pain was a tolerance, and Sakata-kun had a ways to go yet to get it to cross over the blonde’s face. A hand evened out a shirt that wasn’t really out of place just habit from looking down upon what would have been oneself. A trick to costly to try twice in a row, better place his game more carefully now. Kyros wasn’t on to get dirty, by hands or himself. He turned the arrow in hand again carefully this time minding the other without really seeming to. Boredom settling upon his face a bit.

“ Na to following.. he and I just happened to cross paths here and there.. all by……lets say chance? Hum? Gin-kun” A toying smirk on his lips as he tilted his head to look back down at him. “ Such a surprise it is even for little old me. To see his name here….Interesting, interesting…. I wonder what he thinks this place amusement will offer…hum?”

It wasn’t as if he tried to use much of his strength. It was hard to do so when the one he was trying to inflict any pain to had such a baby face. Besides, there was no reason for any blood splatters here, that would create more of a scene then he intended on.

So they finally cross paths. Takasugi, Jin.

“Chance?” he repeated. “Oi, oi, don’t make it seem like it was all fate. I’m sure a brat like you would have followed him around begging for attention.” Gintoki had always been honest with his feelings, but right now, he did well to keep his anger under control. He didn’t exactly know how far or how much this blonde knew about what happened between him and Jin and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to find out. But until everything was clear, it was best to play it safe. If this demon started realizing his emotions, then it could lead to trouble.

The smell of cigarette filled the dimly lit room. The door was open, and a silver haired male sat by it, watching as the sakura pedals falling from its tree, glowing pink by the moonlight. The other laid on the futon, the silk sheet spread, holding a pipe to his lips.

“Get out.”

“What?”

“I said get out.”

For a moment he turned, staring as he held the other’s gaze. Then he stood to his feet, ruffling his already messy silver hair, adjusting the white kimono that was lazily put on… and then, he left.

“Interesting huh?” He thought out loud. “Knowing him, he isn’t here without a reason.” There was a moment where Gin seemed to be in a state of serious contemplation, a moment that made him look composed... and then. “Shit. Was he that much younger than me?? God dammit I can’t believe I screwed around with a kid.” He slammed his head against the cement wall, seeming to have forgotten Kyros’s presence.

So maybe there was a moment of all seriousness maybe, slightly, he wasn’t too dumb not to be able to see the fight within the one. The chance in the feel of the air around the white demon was an easy read for the likes of this soul eater. That was until a bleep moment passed and the white haired man slammed his head suddenly into the stone wall the blonde was sitting on. Will then, that was some information the young[ish?] demon wasn’t quiet sure he wanted to know.

Or did he?

Something better to mess with Jin later on. Maybe, he wasn’t quiet sure how to deal with that remark. Screwed around with huh? What happen to him being nothing to you eh Jin-chan? The blonde drew his brow together as he looked down at the white Lycan standing below him from his perch on the wall. “ Yes……….? You never knew how old….Jin-chan was? That’s… kind of pathetic….Gintoki….Just a little….” The blonde made a motion with his hands about a ‘little’ into a ‘big’ statement. Not quite sure how to deal with this change of info.

“ You know…. I might not know how old I am.. but at least I have a general concept of how you and Jin are... in comparison… And you’re supposed to be his war friendish thing.”

There was a small pause to abusing of his poor head as he looked up towards the blonde who now comfortably sat on the ledge of the wall. “Shut it, Boong-uh,” he retaliated before turning away. All seriousness that might have gone about during their conversation was now clearly abandoned as he went on muttering mainly to himself.

“What in the hell is going on with my life??? Why is my life have to be so screwed up? I never did ask how old was he now did I? But he looked about my age… he even acted more mature than me outside the battle fields. Why the hell didn't I ask??? 'Hey how old are you?' that's not that hard to say! But if he really was Katsura’s childhood friend, then he is… Now now, Gintoki, don’t jump to conclusion about this. Besides! i'm not that old! People tell me I look young all the time anyways! I even still read JUMP... which i should reconsider giving up. Reading that at my age seems a little overly childish. Why does age really matter anyways? We live in an age of change and all sorts of weirdness right??? Right. Age really doesn’t matter anymore. And besides, its not as though we are human. Some of us don’t even calculate their own age. But technically, when I think about it, he is at least 200 years younger than me. Does that make me a pedophile?? No of course not! Yes. No. Yes. No. NO NO NONONONO- Wait… I didn’t check my horoscope today. I should have checked my horoscope for bad lucks! I knew I shouldn’t have gotten out of the house. If I stayed him and read my JUMP I wouldn’t have ran into this brat. No its all because of this fucking wavy hair! Who the fuck heard about naturally perm white hair??! Its because of this that I have a pathetic love life and now it gives me bad luck… “ (and on and on it goes)

He ruffled his silver hair as he kept muttering. He now completely disregarded Kyros presence. It was more likely chance that he didn’t even realize the couple ‘slips’ he might have given to Kyros. And speaking of Kyros, it brings back to the matter at hand.

Gin’s mind:
A huge stone labled “teacher + student” fall on Gin’s head making him fall to the ground.
Then another larger stone labled “pervert” falls on top of the first stone only leaving Gin’s hand (which is waving frantically) visible.

“Then what was with the brat’s attitude??? He basically threw me out right afterwards! Fucking shit! Didn’t he learn any matters of respecting your….. no… I’m not going to say it. makes this situation seem worse than it is…”

Finally. He stopped. There was a pause as he stood just simply stood there. “Oi, Boonguh,” he said in a serious tone. “Where the hell is Takasugi?”

The blonde demon sat uninterested in the white haired Lycan’s rant as he stood below him going on and on about this that and the other. Very, very uninteresting and Fealwin call him a nut, and yet here Kyros was watching someone else being on the verge of well say losing their mind perhaps. Kyros rested his head in his empty hand looking down at the white haired Lycan pondering whether or not he should just keep on messing with him or just move on to something else. After all he was just wasting the day away until that annoying elf woman returned to the wonderful mess her little grandson times to many greats had left her other children in. The mass chaos he was hoping would follow. Peace was boring, peace brought no souls made it harder for him to find those to bargain for. It was starting to look at some point when his body began to crave and starve then there would be no choice.

No choice at all.

For he wasn’t even sure he could keep control of his one sanity at that point. Bargains were come more and more long term and less often. Something was said to him, pulling his attention back to the white haired man below him. Jin? The blonde lifted his head up off his hand looking questionable at the other as his empty hand fell inside of his pocket taking hold of something taken a long time ago. The only way he’s ever been able to find the other over the passing centuries. Where was the man?

Wait a minute?

Why in the world was he going to tell Sakata?


“ Why should I tell you that? What’s in it for me?”

His eyes narrowed a piercing gaze towards the blonde. For a moment his old killing instinct kicked in, almost debating if he should slit the demon’s throat. But that, would only lead to him abandoning everything he worked for these past few years. It simply wasn’t worth it, it was already bad enough that this brat made him recall sides to him that he wanted to lock away, and memories he didn’t really know he wanted to recall. “What nonsense are you coughing up, Boonguh,” he said in a low tone. “I’m not going to negotiate with a demon like you. Associating with brats like you any longer is only going to lead to more bad luck. You said student roster didn’t you? Well I’ll track him down myself without your help.”

However, in all truth, he didn’t even know why he was seeking after Takasugi. He was still debating if that alone would be a good idea, but that he could think through a little more after he figured out where that vampire was. Plus it wasn’t as if he ever did things that made completely sense, he was more of the impulsive type than planning. But something that was irritating Gin more at the moment was this relationship between Takasugi and Kyros. Even during the war, when he mentioned about the blonde demon, Takasugi was very broad about the topic. Takasugi left without a word to him and Gintoki wasn’t able to get in contact with his old comrade for many years, but this blonde, obviously had been crossing path with him on numerous occasion.

“Oi, Boong-uh,” there was a slight hesitation in his voice. "are you and Takasugi friends or something?”

The blonde watched the other for a moment with an empty look upon his face, watching him talk some nonsense or another. It made perfect sense to him anyways, nothing in this world was just free and Kyros wasn’t about to just do things out of a whim for the hell of it. He tilted his head to one side and then to the other before looking at the arrow in his hand. Eyes narrowing at the item, linking his energy to it to follow the link back to the arrow and bow’s owner. To find the damn elvin woman to be coming back to the island that belong to her by sea. A frown crossed his face, liar liar, eyes shifted away from it to look at the white haired demon below. Well there went that ideal of shooting at her as she walked up this wonderful little path.

Damn her.

Well at least he could have the pleasure in something. A smirk turned his lips away from his frown at the woman running his plans of some fun. Sliding the arrow into its holder and the decretive bow snapping into the links on the strap on his back he fished the warn, abused necklace out of his pocket.

“ What am I to Jin-chan, you sure you want the answer to that?” The smirk took a sinister crack as he pulled the necklace out of his pocket turning it about in the open air. A toying though of messing with Sakata just a little too much was hard to resist. Without so much of a thought he disappeared to reappear again right on the front of the other. Toying smirk of his face as his amethyst eyes were hidden under blonde hair. “ Friend or something else? Friend or something else? Hehe I am more to him then you have ever been….”

O what if it was a little white lie, if it got the reaction he wanted.

And with that the blonde disappeared from sight without reappearing again. A dark sinister laugh in his wake.

As his eyes fell onto the necklace, he experienced a sudden shock of pain. It felt as if something was squeezing his heart and lungs, making him unable to even breath. “That...” he stopped himself, not wanting to voice out what he was thinking.

The necklace that Jin had always been wearing through the war. He asked couple times through passing conversation of what it was but Jin didn’t give a direct response. However, the vampire didn’t let anyone take a clear look at it let alone let anyone touch it. It was easy to guess the necklace was something he valued above all other possession and as Gin found later on through Katsura, something the human gave to Jin in their early years. He didn’t think Jin would give it away that easy. There was just no way.

His mind was racing as he listened to the blonde.

He wanted to question that statement. How much did this demon really know about the relationship between him and Takasugi? But before he even got to phrasing his words, Kyros disappeared.
