Grabbing a late dinner [Closed]

Kaimu looked around the quiet cafeteria and sighed. It was still contained students though. He looked around and went to grab some food. He didn't bother to see what he had just made sure no green beens made it on there. He ate slowly taking in the room. Kaimu was feeling more tired by the minute but ignored it. He noticed most were talking to each other quietly and he enjoyed the peace. It was getting darker and curfew was just around the corner but he didn't mind. He would make it, as he always did. Kaimu sipped his drink and let his mind drift. He soon was imagining random things like walking down a beach overlooking the ocean. While holding hand with the person her loved. Of course it was some random guy and not a specific one. He let his imagination run wild and was soon caught up with his fantasies to notice the boring outside world.

Entering cafeteria he avoided tripping over doorstep, dodged pair of female students staring curiously at him and made his way through small crowd, not stoping reading even for a moment. Grabing just whatever to eat with one hand, he hold book open with other one, blue eyes moving in incredible speed as he read. Now it was the time, time to ...
Ayame lifted eyes, and looked above edge of book, looking for place to sit down. Everyone sitting in pairs, free tables full of leftovers ... there it was, free place he liked. Though, there was lone blonde sitting there; how nice, won't they look like pair of siblings, older and younger ... no, no, his siblings were all dark haired ...

Allowing his thoughts to run free he headed to table.
"... may I ..." and without waiting for response he plopped down on free chair. Free hand imidiatelly traveled to his lips, teeth chewing on sleeve as he hided behind book.

Kaimu looked up at the blonde guy in front of him. He nodded in his head to the guy and went back to his fantasies. He loved doing this. Just sitting around and day dreaming. He could even live his life like this although that would get him no where is life. He grabbed his book figuring her could just hide the name from guy in front of him who seemed to be absorbed by a book. Kaimu watched the older one's eyes and realised he must be reading very fast or just skimming. He sighed and picked at his food. Kaimu shook his head and opened the book and while carefully hiding the title cover due to the fact it had a man and a woman embracing. He read silently and drank from the drink he had grabbed.

"How stupid, now he's dead." Ayame mumbled unconsciously and closed book. It didn't took even half of a day to end reading this, though it wasn't so interesting, just what he expected. Chewing on edge of his sleeve he rested chin on hand and stared at other boy; he looked younger, not much younger, but just maybe, coz he looks somehow childlish. Was I ever so light haired? Mmm, nah, maybe during summer? Or he's dyed, no, most likely not, just normal color. He stared at other blonde for a little longer, and then his eyes were attracted by his book. Though younger one tried to hide cover with his hands, when I turn head this way and narrow eyes, don't this look like head, and this is arm, plus another one, and, indeed, aren't they hugging? How nice, but good that's not me, too close, too close, though, it's a really tight hug, don't they always hug like that in romances?

"... romance, hmm. ... I can never ... figure out, what's going on in those." speaking to noone in particular, but somehow wanting other one to answer, Ayame glanced at his food. Of course, just his luck; not looking at what he picked up, he ened picking up jelly. Only jelly. Perfect, that's what I dreamed of eating ... Bad habit, bad, Friday wil be hungry ... staring now at jelly he poked it with one finger, watching how it trembled, and made slight movements, like creature from other planet. Disgusting and amusing ...

Kaimu was to distracted by the book to hear the other's words. He couldn't stop reading which durning the a scene like this. He although he did stop once he finished the chapter. He saighed and sat the book down. He looked up and smiled kindly at the older boy. "My name is Kaimu Rulau. Whats yours?" He said still smiling while sliding the book into his bag once more. He would read it later tonight. He let his mind wander back to some random fantasy. He soon realised that the cafiteria was now slowly becoming empty. Kaimu tucked a piece of his blonde hair behind his ears and studied the guy. He started to play with his shirt and tried to find something to focus on so he wouldn't drift off into la la land as usual.

Ayame poked jelly once more, amused to no end. He would never eat something so suspicious, and on top of that, colored like that ... but it looks like alien, maybe not from Mars, but what about, let's say, Saturn? Or maybe it has teeth, big, sharp and it can creep from under bed, who said tht monsters from under bed can't look like jelly ... frm some point of view it's quite scary ... his brows lifted hearing blonde speak, blue eyes turned from food to boy.

Ah, introducing himself to random person in cafeteria, aren't we? Not too cautious, though, it's nice, very nice, well, nasty people don't read romances, ar they ... he stared at Kaimu, his thoughts racing. Silence was getting longer and more awkward ...
"... I'm Ayame ... your surname doesn't sound japanese." he spit out his thoughts, carefully studing other face; his hand lifted from jelly and moved up, fingers curled and rested on lips; uncontrolable habit of hiding his mouth with hands he had from always.

Kaimu looked at him in surprise then chuckled. "It is German in origin." He said smiling once more. He was often questioned about him surname. Most can't even pronounce it right. He sighed as he stared at his food. It was a simple slice of cheese pizza. he frowned when he realised he didn't pick up any strawberries. He really wanted some right now. His mouth began to water at the thought of strawberries. He quickly stood up. "I will be right back. I just need to get some strawberries." He said then walked quickly to grabs some before joining Ayame once more. He stared at the strawberries before picking one up and sticking the end into his mouth so he could nibble it. He ate it all the way up to the leafe part before moving onto the next one. He began to stare off again but quickly reminded himself that there was a person sitting with him. He was not use to having people sit with him do to the fact that he usually kept to himself.

Ayame observed Kaimu when he went to grab strawberries, and then came back. Need to, just like some addict ... like sis? Kinda, but could anyone get addicted to starwberries. Most likely, can't human being get addicted to just everything?
Starting to chuckle silently he brushed his long banes from eyes.
"Strawberry addict?" fade red color, juice from fruit, made younger male's lips look like painted with lipstick.

Ayame rested head on hands, trying not to chew on his sleeve again; they were already ripped and wet. And he already looked like slowpoke, with or without chewing clothes, so he could as well stop with this nonsense ... secound later material was already between his teeth.

Kaimu blue eyes were getting blank. Ayame could notice it, staring as intense, it was quite easy to see; Getting back to lala land? Though, what kind of lala land, won't it be interesting to open his mind and see that, like some film?
"What ..." anyway, what is so interesting that he needs to get right back to it? Nay, mayeb writing, no getting idea for a book ... right, am I only book obsesed, not everyone are book obsesed, though I'm not, I just like to read maybe a little too much, so what he thinks of, "... are you thinking about?"

Kaimu looked at Ayame and gave a look of confusion before he realised what the he ment. "Nothing really.." He said his cheeks a light pink. Most peopel didn't notice when he started to ignore them and started to day dream. It was a ability of his so to speak. He sighed as he continued to eat the strawberries. "I guess you could say I have a slight additction to strawberries.. and books." He answered softly looking at the table as though it told the future. Now that Kaimu thought about it. That would be pretty cool if a table could tell your future. Kaimu shook his head when he realised once again he had gotten lost in thought. He smiled a sad smile while studying the table before looking up ate Ayame with a cheerful expression.

Ayame clasped his hands few times, so lightly that only tips of his fingers connected. Doing this pantomime of applaud he smiled back at Kaimu, his face brightening up. So there were still people who would openly admit that they were addicted to reading~ he knew that there were many people like that, but hearing it personally made him really happy. Maybe because he wasn't talking with people, always buried in his books, or just ignored what they said, but it was first time hearing this; not movies, videogames, make-up, love (why the hell love, what was interesting in it, he really didn't understand) but books, world made up basing only on fantasy ...

Blonde tilted head to the side.
" ... are you not ... umm ... happy?" sure, good question, ask that yourself, genius. Though, wonderland, books, no, it's not reason! Seriously, he just might like that, no? But, but, isn't this running away ... well, I did it, other do it too, I guess? Maybe? Ah, really ... it's awkward, there is nothing between my brain and mouth is there, spiting out whatever I like, and what strawberries have to do with that, no, nothing, stupid jelly, just shut up, can't I patiently wait for answer? Well, no, yes, I can, maybe. his cheeks turned pale pink; race in his head made him realise that he was asking kind of personal question. Or maybe not, but all his senses screamed something else.
"Um, I mean, it'snotlilke ... err, it's not like you look unhappy, or something, Ijusttendto ..." and then it happened again, he bited his own tongue. Getting even more red, he slumped on his chair, pressing side of curled hand against his lips. "What I mean, is, sorry if I sounded rude." finally finding way to rescue himself from explaining, Ayame rubbed red cheek with free hand; getting frustrated over small things ... seriously, he really talked too less with people.

Deciding that from now on he will talk with more people, to get used to talking like normal human being, blonde glanced up to Kaimu and straighten himself on his chair. Stop babbling to myslef, focus, focus! I'm not 8 years old, and here I look like I'm younger one there ... ah, doing it again ...

Kaimu looked at the elder teen in surprise. He smiled and giggled. "I understand what you mean. Its not rude at all. Well not to me at least. Am I not happy? Well I guess I am.. It gets pretty lonely sometimes but deal. Its a escape of sorts." He said or more accurately rambled. He blushed and turned to look at the table once more. He had been rambling again. He chuckled awkardly but stop after a few seconds. He quickly tried to find something else to focus on. He watched the sky instead. He was once again pulled from the real world to la la land. He was now skipping along some random meadow with a random guy he did not know. Wow, isn't that a romantic thing to do. He giggled girlishly. He quickly turned his attention back to Ayame and smiled at him once more. He laid his head in his arms and sighed before sitting up again. Kaimu watched a random girl flirt with a guy before turning to her friends when the guy ignored her. He laughed softly to himself before looking back at Ayame.

"Uuu." random sound he was making when he wasn't feeling good escaped his lips. It was kind of whine, whenever he got embarassed he was making this 'sad puppy' like sound, making people pick on him even more.

Though, hearing answer, he relaxed a little bit. He wasn't short blond kid anymore, now he was looking at almost everyone form above; acting like child, no, like small girl, was ridiculous. Reminding that to himself constantly, but he wasn't able to get rid of some habits. He coughed crefully and decided to spit out next though that popped in him mind. But calmly, he won't mind, okay? Ayame, don't be like chick! That's how people talk with each other, not to themselves in their heads, nor they get bored with other people just coz they thinks too much, get a grip, talking is supposed to be fun, and babbling in head is what is boring, focus, focus~
"Happy people don't look for escape." he said quietly, his words stifled because of sleeve he was chewing on again.

Kaimu sighed. "Well I guess I'm not happy. It's a hard sorta. I mean I seem to be alone alot so.. I guess I only use it when I'm lonely.. Which is alot." He said. Kaimu couldn't believe he was spilling all of this. He just started talking and now he can't stop. He felt his cheeks warm up but he quickly looked down. He was rambling again. This is why he was always alone. He tended to rant and make a fool of himself. He sighed and leaned back against his chair and began to play with his shirt before clasping his hands on his lap. He realised he was out of strawberries and frowned. He had ate them all? He wanted more now but he would resist. He clasped and unclasped his hands as he eyes became blank and staring once more. He tried to stay focused as best as he could but it seemed to fail horribly. He sighed and leaned against the table. "Are you happy?" He asked softly. "Not to be rude or anything." He added quickly as he studied Ayame.

Ayame stared at Kaimu above his own curled fingers, pressed against lips again. Happy? Well, maybe, sorta, now? If you say taht being antisocial bookworm is happy then indeed, though not many thinks I'm happy, I'm quite happy now, no, kinda lonely, but as long as I'm reading not much and maybe only a bit, though, isn't that hard to answer ... no, it's just, how to say ...
"... if you say ... with my current life ... mmm ... yea, I'm happy."

His sleeve was all wet again, he shouldn't chew on it so much, but irresistible need to chewing on it was even stronger than his sister longing for drugs. Blonde just felt out of place if he hadn't hand in front of his lips and material between teeth. Worse than if he was naked, without hiding his lips he felt as if all his thoughts were visible for anyone.
"... I asked as well. Kaimu asking back ... isn't rude ..."

Kaimu tense shoulders lost their tension and he let himself relax. He needed to calm down. He hummed softly and stood up and raced to get some more strawberries before returning to take his spot. He began eating them once and sighed in content at the wonderful taste. He absolutely love ripe strawberries. I wander where they get them from. These are some good strawberries. I could eat these all day. He thought smiling. Kaimu closed his eyes and let his mind wander. He felt content just sitting here really. He giggled softly but stopped when he realised he was doing it. He needed to stop laughing all the time. People tend to think you are crazy when you laugh at nothing. He couldn't help it though. He giggled once more before opening his eyes and looking at the table.

Sudden question popped up in his mind, so annoying that he just needed to ask, he wanted to know. Though, it looks like he's embarassed to show to people what he reads, this covering cover ... ah, or maybe not, it's not lke he will be embarassed, no? Hugs are quite normal, I guess, in romances, they do it all the time, well. Kaimu won't read it if it was embarassing to him, on the other hand, why should any book be embarassing to anyone? Ah, or maybe that's ... porn ... and he doesn't want anyone to see that he's reading it, aren't ... people this age extremely fascinated by those things? Though, ah, it's not like I was ... just ... he was getting slightly red again, from his own thoughts.

"... Kaimu ... whatwereyoureading? ... I mean ..." he coughed and removed sleeve from his mouth "What were you reading?"
Staring curiously at blonde, fade pink on his cheeks, Ayame leaned slightly forward, looking just like excited puppy, ready to wag his tail.

Kaimu face flared red. He tried to speak but it came out in a stutter. "Uhh.. Uhh.. No-o-th-ing." He said his face still red. He sighed and figured it didn't matter anymore. He would opened then closed his mouth. "Romance novel. A romance between to two gu-u-ys." He said so softly he was afraid Ayame wouldn't be able to hear him. His face was beat red and his breathing was speeding up. He looked away and tried to calm down. He knew he was overreacting. It was just a book. It didn't define who he was or anything. He looked at Ayame and smile a brilliant smile. "What where you reading?" He asked cheerfully.

His lips gormed 'o' as he tilted head to the side; Ayame was rarely visiting part of library with romances, they were just too hard to understand for him. They talk, and look and then suddenly they are in love, all groping and touchy, and flirt, whatever it's different from normal talk I don't see any difference, but anyway, is that how it works? Talking and after this somehow faling in love, just, how they know who is flirting with them to fall in love and who is just noramly talking? Nono, that's not it, love isn't happening coz they flirted, it's just happening, no? ... and yea, that's why I don't read them, it's too ... weird?

"Ah, that's a very brief explanation, how romance between guys is different from romance between girls or man and woman? Well, but I wouldn't know, I rarely read those ... I can't understand what and why they do something, and it's so annoying to not understand it, so I'd rather not read romances at all ..." of course, he notice that he was babbling; it happened only while talking about books, his love, his biggest interest, he could babble about books for hours. "Cujo, was title of mine." Ayame tapped book lying on the table with his fingers. "It's horror by King, about, well, dog who got rabid. I wouldn't say it was his best book, but it was pretty good, especially his descriptions as usual amazing ... Sorry, I babble, it always happen when I'm talking about books." he smiled slightly. People often were surprised or confused when form not saying much antisocial being he was turning to excited, babbling teen.

Kaimu smiled happily. He wasn't the only one. He quickly leaned foward onto the table. "I love books so much. I mostly read sci-fi or romance. Although.... I don't tell people that I read romance." He said smiling. He fiddled with his strawberry before sucking on it. He sighed and popped the last strawberry in his mouth. He studied Ayame. I wander how old he is and if he is still in highschool or not. He thought he studied him. "So how old are you?" Kaimu asked randomly. He frowned when he realised the cafiteria was completely empty now. He wondered what time it was. "Do you happen to know what time it is?" He asked politely.

Ayame brighten up and unconsciously leaned forward as well.
"Sci-fi? I usually ignore them, you know, all those green aliens, destroying earth ... but there is one russian autor who writes almost only sci-fi, and those are so good! Kind of detective story mixed with sci-fi, though there aren't many books by him ..." Older male smiled back at younger one and put one finger across his lips. "Secret."

Suddenly he felt strong starwberry smell and warm breath on his cheek; they both leaned so close that only inches were dividing their foreheads. Blonde jumped up and quickly backed; oh damn, no, no, that was too close, just too, what if he touched me, but he was nice, it wouldn't be bad, no but touching that's just, just ... he got little pale. Inches, only inches more and he would TOUCH stranger he just meet. Something big was stuck in his throat, his heart skipped a bit; it was scary, really scary.

Ayame felt relief hearing him asking about time, it was good excuse to just up and run away. Not that now he hated or was scared of Kaimu, but he just almost TOUCHED him, and not through clothes, their skins almost meet, and he could feel sweet smelling breath, and warmth radianting from him, nice and at the same time choking him with fear. He jumped to his feet catching book.
"I'm sorry, sorry, I think it's amost curfew, and I need to visit library, and go back to dorm, sorry, Ihopewewillmeetagain." he turned on heel and fastest he could reached cafeteria doors. Turning once more on doorstep, oh how he wanted to jus turn away, "...bye..." his voice fainted to squeaky whisper. Ayame slammed door after him and walking as fast as he could headed to closest corner, with every step his heart and nerves calming down.

[Ayame has left Cafeteria and heading to Library]

Kaimu watched Ayame leave in confusion. "Bye..." He said softly. Kaimu sighed and wondered what he had done. He had probably made the the guy think he was a total freak. Kaimu frowned deeply and stood up and walked slowly to the trash can. He had should have just kept his mouth shut about the books. His face lit up in embarresment and he quickly went back to the table. He picked up his bag and headed towards the door that led out of the cafiteria.
