Character PersonalityFaelwen is a very forward, straight to the point kind of person. She doesn’t make things ‘butter’ people up to anything, and doesn’t dance around subjects or walk on egg shells. Having been in enough wars, and bad situations she has lost that ‘elegance’ an elf, she doesn’t even know how to appear as a ‘peaceful’ ‘enlightened’ individual that is stuck up on themselves like most elves can be. She also has a very short fuse, and can get angry very easily though she only will resort to violent acts if she feels it’s absolutely necessary. [But it doesn’t mean she won’t do something]
She has a softer side to herself, though the only people who ever see it are close family members or people she trusts. Faelwen can be a very loving individual good for laughs and many other things. If anyone can get past her hostel outer shell that is.
Character Background]A/n: All Faelwen's mentioned ages are by Elf years]
Her early life as a child is much of a blur to herself over the course of the many years that had passed. What Faelwen does remember well is that she is a daughter of a Dark from a strong military back ground and a Wood Elf with this history of producing strong summoners , a product of an alliance between families. Though the only parent she has any really memory of is her father, for her mother died during childbirth of her brother, born still. Such things were never spoken of for elves, so any topic that lead to her mother was quickly pushed aside. Something she had been used to have happen, and dropped pushing for answers at a young age accepting the matter as it was. There was disgrace somewhere in her family, whether it was from her missing mother or the fact she was a very pale Wood and Dark elf mix. White hair, pale skin, light blue eyes, totally not something she was supposed to be. But due to a very unfortunate incident during a warring campaign against the Drow, her father found himself with only a daughter to become the successor to his estates and riches. So Faelwen grew up very much like a son would have. Training day in and out in the trade of her family, learning how use a now, draw a sword, defend herself with her fist and become a great strategist.
Faelwen was an intelligent woman, had a grasp on the world around her by a young again, and would soon find herself by her eighteenth birthday entering the military. Wanting at the time to earn her father’s respect, she started at the bottom hiding her family name in order not to receive special treatment from anyone. Making her way among the racks during the wars her kind wage against other races, such as the Drow, light Elves, the growing Lycan races, shifters, and even the disappearing Dragoons, getting her footing through blood sweat and pain. And all which paid off as she made General around her 27th birthday. But none of this hard work brought her any praise from her father, none at all, only snide remarks of how ‘un lady like’ his only daughter was, running with heathen men on the battle field disgracing herself and integrity being alone surround by them. At this point, Faelwen no lingered cared, Striving forward, conquering lands with her own loyal men spreading her own power, name, gaining lands of her own.
All the way keeping only the slowly raising race of humans as company. Or well, keeping to her slaves as it was during this time period. The young human race had just started to show throughout the lands, gather together by the older races as ‘live stock’ or ‘cheap free labor’. Human’s were bought and sold like cattle during her childhood, Faelwen remember going to the ‘market’ for them when one displeased her father and was killed on the spot. Though the human’s she grew up with had a longer life span at the time leaving to be over two hundred years old before death took them away. Still short compared to her own but a lot longer than they are now. Faelwen would find that those that served her were far more closer as family then her real family member ever was. So she pushed to learn their language in order to understand them better, taught those who became close to her the elvin language. Those who became the closet to her were always those that took the positions as her person assistant and her dresser. These two would always be with her when she went out on campaigns, they were her trusted friends, and she relied on them for many things. So every time they two grew to an age close to the prime of their lives, Faelwen would set them free, with a seal of approval of her family and giving them some of the land that was hers. Something she had started doing well before her race began to deal with civil right acts to free the ‘slaved’ humans, and enjoyed ever moment of the look on her father’s face as he realized she was slowly giving away her dowry and to the lowly ‘humans’ none the less.
Sometime around her thirty-third birthday, as she prepared the normal ritual she had grown accustom to taking her current assistant and personal maid to the ‘markets’ to find their replacements, her ‘new’ family until it was time to do this again. Faelwen was only able to take her assistant, who went by the name Kiorn, with her as it took more and more effort to get around her father’s back. It was this time she was brought a young bright intelligent, idealistic blonde haired young boy around the human age of nine who only had the name Alculard, since human’s were never give surnames. It was the youngest new servant she had and the last she would ever take on.
Fascinated by the young human’s skills, Faelwen took on teaching him more things then she had any other assistant of hers. Though Alculard also took on the responsibilities of her maid as well since she was unable to return to the markets again, the young elvin woman never took any mind to it. Enjoying listening to this young man’s thoughts as he grew. It was about the time he was seventeen in his human years, under too much secretary for her liking at the time she was returning to her campaigns far from her father’s annoyingly watchful eye, Koirn and her last personal maid were set free until the dead of the night having to escape from their prison of a home in the dead of the night the same time Faelwen left with her man for the battle fields. For the several long human years at the mercy of blood sweat and the screaming cries of war, she came to realize she was falling in love with her human servant. And even though it was a forbidden thing by her ever unloving father, Faelwen didn’t care to deny her feels for Alculard, though she had taken up calling him “Amada” for some rather silly acts he would do to try an cheer her up when things went bad.
Though as she would return to her father’s estates by the time he was twenty-nine, Faelwen found herself at the end of a very unhappy barge. Her father was getting old, unable to have another child by some… physical issues, he wanted to force her into marriage, an alliance with another wealthy high powered Dark Elf family. Though by all rights this shouldn’t even be a thought on her father’s mind since she was not the ‘perfect’ color she should be, [even though no one other than a few close people within the estate knew she was color blind]. But since her fame as a genius female general grew it seemed so did families wanting to take hold of a woman holding such a large sum of lands. As she prepared for the dreaded ‘engagement’ ceremony/ predetermined dinner, while sitting in rooms that were never really hers, to stuffy for her own liking Faelwen had to a very hard decision. Telling Alculard to wait for her in her rooms, she left him taking her short swords with her. No more than hour later she returned a blood mess, overly fancy clothing that was not her type of thing to wear ruined. Ordering him to fetch her armor, she sat down in front of her dressing mirror with a small stack of papers and her seal ring scribbling something out in shaking hands. When he returned with the requested armor she handed him the papers telling him very plainly as if nothing was wrong. She had refuse the proposal offer…
And killed her father.
She had challenged him to a duel of life and death and won. Taking her freedom to do as she decided. And the first thing she had decided on, was freeing her lowly companion from his imprisonment as a slave, along with all the human’s her father kept since the time and age they lived in now was putting an end to this atrocity. Though she divided her lands to these servants she was giving Alculard the largest sum of her last campaign. Lands in the mountains, surround by beauty. It was for a dream, she told him, for the dream he had of a plan were those were in need of it could have a haven to escape to, a plan to get away from the injustice of society as races were killed, as wars of politicians ruled. But there was only on condition she had.
That Alculard was to become her husband.
Though there was some rather mean joking about refusing such a deal, married Faelwen was not to some noble class of her own kind by a freed human slave. Taking on the his only name as her surname, she gave Alculard a first name, since it was something she had called him a lot over the years jokingly, he became Amada Alculard, the first in a legacy to come. In the lands she gave him they settled, making a peaceful place for those who wanted it to come. A place he called ‘Lond’ or haven in the human tongue translation. A haven it was, were she would give birth to three half blood sons. She listened to her husband’s dreams as the world around them got worse, humans raging wars now against the other races for the generations of wrong. Amada wanted a place where races could learn to state side by side of one another. To learn and not hate each other, Faelwen laughed at his dream but did nothing to stop it only encouraging him on. And that he did until he drew his last breath at the age of 197, a blink on an eye to her in years. But they would seem to be the happiest in her life yet. She watched their family grow and her blood line thin out as each child married in to either humans or other races. Bu she also lost many of those who could live as long as her. Losing them to the call of war as broke out worse and worse. As her own kind closed its gates to the world hiding away from the every growing rabbits of humans who were dying and spreading diseases, most likely caused by her kinds’ mistreatment of them.
When the Night Laws were finally passed some three hundred years ago, Faelwen stood forward then as wars finally seemed to come to an end to see Amada’s dream come true. Creating a school for his descendents to carry on for him. A place were the creatures of day could learn to except their brethren of night. When asked what it would be called all Faelwen could do was smile of her ever to many great grandchildren and say ‘Alculard’s Paradise’ in the honor of the man who had dreamed of it all. The name that they all carried with them in an unknowing remembrance to him.
Currently, Faelwen takes care of any business that deals with the land the Academy is created upon, since she is still living the lands still belong to her as she has not given them to anyone else after Amada’s death. Between her travels back to her homeland, and the academy though this will be the first time she has returned to the Alculard’s Paradise since the death of the Takamichi. Discovering unhappily the mess he has created within the family.
