Alculard and Forumotion Rules

These are the rules and guidelines of our lovely forum which you must read once you Register! Please read all of it because there are hidden messages all throughout the rules which you must PM back to all the Admins: Erebes, Kailyn and Asuko. You can not post anywhere on the boards without doing so. Take your time and read to make sure that you have everything in order. Thank You!

This is a predominate English speaking forum. However we love to meet new people and encourage anyone from around the world to join in the fun. There are tools online to help you translate the text into your native tongue and then convert it back to english. The translator on this forum will change all the text into your native tongue and back when you are ready to do so. We find that more people enjoy this translator and visit the forum often. If you love to read and would like to join please feel free to do so. Even if you have never done a Role Play in your life we as a friendly community would love to help you with all your RP needs. Not only will we ensure that you have a blast but you get to make great friends along the way.

Forumotion Rules
Any forum containing the following elements and/or behaviors will be deleted without further notice :

* Sexual and/or pornographic content
* Hateful or abusive content
* Defamatory content and / or affecting the integrity of a person
* Sale or exchange of medication that requires a prescription from a licensed practitioner, or medicines without prescription / drugs and any other illicit substance
* Copyright infringement / hacking
* Spam / phishing and/ or malware website
* Credit card fraud


Accounts and Deletion
Welcome to Alculard Paradise Academy! Accounts are activated within 24-72 hours. Once you create an account here you will see the full board and the many activities that you and your characters can participate in. But as it stands you are on the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Which means your Academy Registration is pending right now. Your registration was the first part now you must read these rules and collect all the pieces word for word to finish your acceptance. You must send the PM to all Admins. They are Kailyn, Erebes and Asuko. Once you send them everything the forum will become open and then you can post but let us lay down the rules about your account and it's status shall we? In the title to your pm to the admins please write 'I understand'

Once your account is no longer on the waiting list you are free to look around for a bit. But your next task is the Create Section. Your Limit of Characters per Account are 6. The Alculards are only reserved for the MODS and ADMINS of the forum so please do not ask or harass other members about how you can get into the rankings to make one. You can look in the How to...Section to find the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. The sheet is like a guide helping you to Create your first character on the board. We also would like to suggest that you look at some people's profiles to actually visually see an idea of what we are looking for when it comes to making you first Profile. Since you just signed up and you still want to look around let alone real life does tend to get in the way sometimes when you are here on your escape we allow you 2 weeks after your registration to create a profile. You can post a WIP but again that must be finished within that time. If you have to leave unexpectedly let us know in the Welcome section: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that way we do not delete your account by accident. Please place the first sentence in your pm 'I, [your username], am reading the rules. I understand my first character must be a human.'

After you make your first character you need to place him/her in the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. From here an admin will see if you followed the simple guidelines. It doesn't have to be in the exact order we just ask that you have everything there. Once your character has been accepted you can actually start your Role Playing. The portal explains exactly what kind of RP forum this is so I suggest if you don't recall that you open that page and read it again. You are free to create another character if you wish and they can be any race just at least there is a slot open. You can check the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] To see what is available. Certain people will have their name next to their Race description. That means you will have to PM the person and ask them if it is alright for you to RP as their Race. If you want you can create a sub race of any of the existing ones but make sure you ask first if some have names attached. Or you can create your own race altogether. Please send a pm to Kailyn if you do create a sub or new race. Give a brief description so that race may be added to Groups.

We recommend that you use a picture of one of your characters in the Avatar and Signature Sections of your profile. It helps all the RPer's to see who it is that you are Roleplaying. Also if you have more than one list the names below the sig image and link them to their personal character profiles. Others will click on them and read them from there. Your next sentence in the pm should read, 'No matter what I will always have a human on my list of characters and they will be rped just like everyone else.'

Now understand that you don't have to use all 5 slots but if you do use all 5 we ask that you keep up with all your RP's with each and every single one of them. As a team of the forum if we find that you can not seem to keep up to pace with all of your characters we ask that you remove your least RPed character. You can place them as an NPC but they can only come out for certain events and such and can not live on the campus. NPC's have random appearances unless they are needed for a plot. Every 6 months we determine how others are doing in their roleplaying and see if they can keep their limits. If you seem to be doing fine we will allow you to have that slot back and you can bring back your character. If not however you will not regain that slot.

Now with that chunk out of the way lets talk about how you can actually get "Expelled" or deleted in this case. 1 way is by not responding to the rules and creating a character within the 2 weeks of your activation. It just means that the forum wasn't for you and you decided to leave our family. Another way is violating the rules in the actual forum or chat box. There is a zero tolerance level here when it comes to bad behavior. You get 2 warnings and the 3rd is a week to wrap up before you are deleted. Lets go through each group so that you understand them at full.

Detention: This is your first warning by not following the rules. You will wear this color for a week and will have a PM stating what you did wrong and will be asked not to do it again.

Probation: This is your 2nd warning and this restricts you from rping on the forum at all for a full week. Yes even your Chat Box privileges are taken away at this point.

Expulsion: This is your final warning and you are given a week to finish all your RP's and collect whatever information that you want to keep. Once your week is up we delete your account and since you have been in this system you are not allowed to return to this Academy.

Now if you leave Alculard on your own that is perfectly okay. Just state it in the Vacation/Leave thread or if you want it to be private pm an admin about it. If you know you will comeback but you need some time we will place you back on the waiting list but we do ask that you finish all your RP's before you leave that way everyone can continue without you.

The last way is through inactivity. We give you up until your join date to return. If you didn't state anything in the vacation thread this will become your time limit. We send you an email asking you to return to the fun and if we get no response the account is deleted. Everything you did will be deleted except for the RPs that you participated in. The next statements in your pm will be: 'I will not disobey the rules otherwise I will suffer the consequences. I will also try my best to not leave people stuck in an rp for too long so that everyone's fun shall continue and be enjoyable.'


Alculard Paradise Academy
This is a Cause and Effect Forum with personal challenges and life changing ordeals. The Academy has a general plot each season which affects all the Alculards then the Academy. Word spreads fast around the campus and what happens to even one Alculard will affect the Academy as a whole.

EX: SUMMER ACADEMY PLOT: The Aclulards are accused for a crime which they did not commit. An Alculard will be sent to prison and the campus will be on lockdown.

ALCULARD CAMPUS: City police will be guarding the campus and will be stationed all throughout the campus. No one is allowed inside and no one is allowed out. Classes will resume but those who work off the campus must present your pass when you leave and return along with your work ID.

ALCULARD ASSIST: Faculty and Students can help get their Guardians out of confinement and take out the police guards stationed around the campus. Becareful because if they get too suspious they will call for back up. To see how many roam the campus and where they are stationed please see the Alculard Announcement board for details. Also if you have outside help or you can get on the outside see how you can help rescue your Alculard.

PERSONAL PLOTS: You can continue your own personal plots and use the police around campus if you wish.

MAJOR CHANGES: After this whole thing Alculard guardians will more than likely beef up security. Day students and Night Students will have their discussion meetings which will be held by their Student Body Presidents. Presidents please give your reports into the Alculards once your meetings are finished.

Now if the Academy plot is completed we can have life changing personal plots take it's place. The format will be the same and again these are things that will change everyone somehow.

EX: WINTER ACADEMY PLOT: Is completed

PERSONAL PLOTS: A union of a human and nonhuman have been discovered on the campus grounds. Other Plots are allowed to occur at this time.

ALCULARD CAMPUS: rumors good and bad are soaring across the campus about the forbidden union and Staff is to keep an eye out for the "unusual" couple.

ALCULARD ASSIST: Staff and students can be supportive of the couple once they find them or they can hate them and try to rip the two apart. Allow your selfish desires to roam freely as some people try to take the couple apart. Maybe you can take one for yourself or help cause a fight on the campus.

MAJOR CHANGES: Day and Night Students will have to vote on the merging idea of the campus. Alculards can either enforce their law or change it.

Your next statements are: 'I will engage in plots and activities. Create a fun and dramatic environment for others to read and many to join in the RP.'

Role Playing and General Information
Our number one rule of thumb is be patient with all your fellow RP members. We all have to go back to the world which is called daily life. Give them 2 weeks to respond to the RP on the forum and never be demandsive. Our second rule is never ever rush a post. Posts that are rushed because you are the one the reply is on it will become horrible. Save yourself the time and energy by not posting until you know you have plenty of time to think on your answer and then write it out at full. The RP style here is mostly descriptive and enjoyable so here are a couple of examples on the do's and don'ts on our forum.

1. One Liners are a definite no no. These are very vague and are equivalent to a spam. There is nothing there for people to read.


2. Unrealistic situations. Yes this is fantasy but don't construct something very cheesy just to make your character cool. Keep things with a bit of realism to it so that readers can connect to them otherwise they won't read your works.


3. Invincibility aka Godmodding. A definite no no on this forum. Your character will take hits and may even become badly injured. It is a thing called life. You get up and try again or train to get stronger so that the next time it occurs you are ready to hold your own battle. No one is invincible.


So what is encouraged and praised if these 3 things are bad? Well let us explore the 3 main things we will glomp and smother you with love. In hopes that you don't suffocate but that you do have fun and return to us in one piece.

1. Taking your time on a post. This we can really see the results compared to that one liner crap and it will make people want to rp with you more and more. You may not be a god but hey you will be one of the most awesome people to be around.



2. Drama! Come on all of life just doesn't float about peacefully like we all want it to be. We need some action, drama, intensity!!! Sorry got carried away there for a second but you get the picture. Real life situations with their own twists.


3. Drama does bring about fighting. Some verbal, mental but the best ones are the physical ones. Come on everyone loves to see a good one now and again. It makes for a great read and topic to talk about.


Another very big no no is the SMS or Text speak and the number substitutes. These 2 forms of lingo can not be computed for those who do not speak English. We will lock the thread and ask you to change it. You have 2 weeks to do so once you have been given the notice. This will place you in detention so you have been warned. Detentions allow you to reply. Once the problem has been corrected by you we will remove you from the list and let you and your fellow RPers continue on making such a great story. If you don't correct it by 2 weeks the post will be deleted and your RP Access will be on probation. To prevent this if you have loads of work or are going on vacation we ask that you post that in the Vacation/Leave Thread. We are not mind readers and we can not see everything that you do. So please keep us informed if you will be leaving for a while so we can have you close the topic and take your character home. Your next sentence for the pm should be: 'I understand that this is a twist in reality and I am writing for enjoyment while others read in the same way. I will try my best not to leave others stuck because of my random absence.'

Next is topic listings which is very important because people need to know if they can place their characters in an ongoing topic. Here is the list with their descriptions:

Open: Means anyone can join the RP that is in session until everyone leave.

Closed/Ended: Means the RP has ended and is usually locked Admins will later place it in the Archives.

Always Open: Usually applies to shops and parks which are open to the public. If they have times you can list those too. EX: Open during the Night hours Only.

Private/ [name] and [name] Only: These topics are closed off to everyone except the character names listed No one uninvited can join them

One character can only be in one place at a time. If you have 2 characters then you will have 2 different RP's going on and so on if you have more on your account. If your character is leaving an RP we ask that you place at the bottom of your post that your character is leaving and heading somewhere else:


Not only does it give others an idea of where you are going but our guests will know as well so they can follow your characters personal story. Once you have the name of the topic and the link that your character will be joining we ask that you add the link to your post along with the title of the post so everyone is reading and/or joining the right one.


This forum is based on an a Academy like setting where humans and nonhumans share the same campus grounds but never cross each other. Real life situations do occur on this camps from day to day. You take your classes, make friends and fight enemies. You also can find love on the grounds as well. It doesn't matter what you enjoy because it is sure to be here. We know things can get pretty heated so we ask that you place the spoiler system in that area then type your message. It will look like this:


This system is used by the film industry and other works to prevent from issues arising. To ensure that our special content is not seen we ask that you log out and see what areas are not visible to the public for viewing. Then log back in and check what can be seen. If you place this spoiler somewhere that is open for public viewing you are to inform an admin that a certain section needs to be closed off from public view due to its content. This isn't just for romantic scenes but it also applies to really graphic fights that can cause some people to feel queasy and for real life scenarios like certain deaths by unnatural causes or child births. As admins and mods we do read your content and check to make sure that you have everything in order. Your next statements shall be: 'I understand that some scenes can make people uncomfortable so I will label all according to the rules. I want to make everything as enjoyable and down to earth as much as I can with its twist.'

The use of the chatbox is a privilege not a right and everyone here comes to chit chat about life and have a blast. We ask that you do not harass others while staying in the box and be considerate. There can only be short random RPs allowed in the box. Please understand that it is a place to talk and not to Role Play in serious scenarios. We ask that for the serious ones that you please use your PM system for it. The Boxes will be cleaned or swiped every Friday night. We ask that anything you want to save do so as you post it or place it in a PM. Chat Box Moderators and not held accountable for you losing information in the chatbox that you wished to save. We know sometimes things can get out of hand with people and we ask that you remain professional about it. If things get too heated a Chatbox Moderator should inform an admin so that things can be settled. CB privileges are taken away at that point for a week. You will have to have a private section in the forum for the 2 parties and selected admin to help control and settle the situation. Once the week is up and everything is resolved the parties may return to the chatbox. We also ask that when you sign in you also sign out. Unless you state that you will be right back we will boot you once you hit the away status. If we are booting you too many times we will have to take your cb privileges away for a week. The only time this will not count against you if: You state you are on your phone, you have really bad weather that can cause a blackout, using a console system or your wifi or wireless connection is bad. These things are understandable but you must state them as soon as you get on so we know. Your last statements are: 'I will try to do what was stated and make this escape as enjoyable as possible. Everyone wants to have fun and I will make sure that I keep the environment fun and enjoyable. Now that I have read the rules I am ready to become part of this family and make life on Alculard fun and entertaining.'

It has been brought to the Admin's Attention that you can in fact sign out from your Ipod devices and takes no more than 2 seconds to do so. Ipod has now been removed from the list.

New bottom statement has been added. Character number is now 6!
