Kozy Korner (Open during Mall Hours)

Ayzen steps out of the very busy kitchen and heads to the front of the Kozy Korner restaurant as he waves goodbye to some of the guests as they exit the place and chat. "Have a nice day and thank you for coming!" He smiles as he joins the Host Steven temporarily in the front. "Hectic inside?" He asks as Ayzen just sighs to have a breath of air. "Ahhh man like you wouldn't believe. Our Sales today will definitly be higher than yesterdays. Gods I just want to sit already." Ay says as he bows to their incoming customers. Steven chuckles a little bit as he too bows as he watches more guests arrive and heads inside to help them to their seats. Once they were all inside Ayzen takes out his phone and looks at the time. He still has time before his class begins so he can grab dinner with Zack and then head to his first class. Ayzen watches as people walk around the mall shopping and having a good time. Too bad I can't hang out with Zack like that anymore. Gods it is relaxing to be around him. It was fun back then going to the Arcade, Shopping here and there and even eating at a place or two. Now due to our races we can't really do it anymore. Are the differences really that much of a problem on campus? What happened to bringing everyone together as one? Come on humans can't really tell the difference in the outside world right? Unless you are like Kailyn of course. Ayzen was lost in his thoughts until his Manager Mike comes out to join him. "Ayzen you still have some people left to cook for. And more guests are showing up by the minute. No spacing out now you will be off soon. But if you keep it up I will have to keep you in longer." Mike mentions as Ayzen is startled and turns around quickly almost ripping his apron as he got it caught on the sharp corner of the host table. "I am sorry sir. I just wanted to catch some air for a moment. I will get finished right away." Ayzen mentions as he rushes back inside to finish cooking for his customers. He can't wait to join Zack for dinner that way they can chat and catch up from having a week away from each other. That week of tedious work put them both at a standstill from having time together. Even if it was against the rules they didn't care. They have been at this for almost 3 years of sneaking and once Ayzen graduates this year maybe things will get better. College seemed so far but he knew it was right around the corner after these midterms and finals were done.

The soft purr of the bike suddenly cut off as Zack parked in the parking lot of the two story mall. Sliding off the black two seater Suzuki GSX650F, he locked the second helmet in place before pocketing the keys and making his way towards the mall entrance, his own helmet in hand. He was still a little early, seeing as his class had gotten out a little earlier then usual, but that was good, because it then meant that Ayzen wouldn’t have to wait.

A small smile played with his lips as he made his way through the mall, eventually traveling up the stairs to the second floor. It was slightly crowded; the older shoppers were going home for the day while the students went around hanging out with friends before heading home themselves. He dearly wished that the classes didn’t have to be separated. Zack understood that it was merely a safety precaution, but Ayzen was doing perfectly fine around the day time students before they transferred him to the night class. He had debated as much with the headmaster Tosen; however the headmaster had a great point. They could give one the privileges that they were denying the others. It wasn’t fair, but Zack knew exactly how unfair life could be. In the grand scheme of things, it really shouldn’t matter that much. But for some unknown reason, even now, two years later, it was still bothering him. Shrugging the thought off, Zack smiled brightly at the host as he entered the restaurant that Ayzen worked at.

“Good Afternoon, Zack.” He called, not really bothering to get the man a table. After all, Zack had been here enough times the employees to know that he was sometimes Ayzen’s ride home. “Ayzen-kun’s almost done. Would you like to take a seat?”

“Nah, it’s alright.” Zack replied, placing the helmet by his feet and crossing his arms over his chest while he leaned up against the wall by the door. “Been sitting for a while, a little standing won’t do me any harm. Besides I don’t want to take up a table…”

As Ayzen walked around the back of the other chef trying to get the plate of rice he had brought to him placing the spicy Thai curry next to it and added some pepper zest on top. Even though this is a casual place the chefs served the food with fun added to it. He then used cracked pepper and sprinkled it all over the dish. He placed it on the tray with the other 2 dishes and walked out with the tray and stand. As he walked out to the restaurant he served the people their order and smiled. "You guys enjoy your meals and your server will check up on you soon." Ayzen said as he smiled at the customers as he took the tray and closed up the stand.

As soon as he looked up he saw the man who can stop the crowd in a heartbeat and yet send chills down his enemys' spine. Of course with looks like his anyone would be all over him in an instant. Ayzne knew how much the girls at work wanted to jump at him every time he came through the door. Ayzen went to join Zack for a brief moment since everyone was seated and had ordered. "Zack...you are early? Was class cancelled again for you or was it just an early release?" Ayzen asks as he looks at the time on the wall. Such an unusual time for this man to be about in the mall. Ayzen was always waiting on him so he went windowshopping while he waited. It's not his fault but he couldn't blame it on the school either. Everyone needed their education according to the Alculard standards of law. It was normal for Zack to not have a class since some of the staff worked at other places and had other jobs to attend to. "I am almost done with work. I had texted you earlier about somewhere to eat. Did you figure out where you wanted to go yet?" Ayzen asked as he became excited about having dinner together. It was usually a rare event but it was nice to have it with the man you were so madly in love with!

“Yeah, Koichi-sensei allowed us to go early, today.” Zack’s lazy smile widened as the younger man walked up to him, sapphire eyes locking onto currently hazel green ones for a moment. It was strange, because at times Ayzen acted so human, that Zack (more often then he probably should) forgot that he in fact was not. He had seen those eyes turn golden yellow, and seen how quickly the simple action could change the younger in front of him. Distantly, he wondered what the rest of the workers would do if they knew what he knew. Chuckling slightly, Zack uncrossed his arms and reached over to ruffle Ayzen’s already slightly messy hair for a moment.

“You’re the one that’s working, Ay, you should get to choose where we’re eating. Besides, the one whose pays doesn’t get to choose. That’s not exactly fair to the other now is it?”

Koichi was a teacher well known and it seems like Zack was cool being released early from class. Ay knew of this teacher quite well since he sees him around campus often. Zack patted the young mans head and ruffled his hair a little bit. Something that Ay was used to and enjoyed actually. For certain vampires it is like a caring touch almost like how a mother treats her child. Although he isn't human Ay knows how to play the part well enough to fool people in order to get by on life. His parents had pleaded with him to live a normal life. But once the Alculard went deeper into his records they found out he was a Purebred Ancient Vampire. So that was a no go for him being around humans any longer.

"Hmm...where to eat?" Ayzen thought about it forgetting very quickly that he was on the clock still. Ayzen! His boss mentioned as he noticed Zack standing there and stopped in his tracks. Ayzen flinched and stood assertive as he responded. "Yyyes sir...I was heading back to the kitchen now. My apologizes!" He mentioned as he ran off towards the kitchen. His boss stood where he was and looked at Zack up and down. "Sorry Zack give him a few minutes and he will be off." He mentioned as he dealt with a little girl who walked up to him smiling with a red balloon. He patted her head and thanked everyone for coming before returning to the kitchen.

As he was in the kitchen he placed the tray on top with the others as he leaned against the wall. One of the other chefs looked out as he noticed the evening crowd was now settled in and Ayzen's shift was almost done. As he looked over Ayzen was looking at something like a chain of some sort on his left wrist. Dinner sounds wonderful tonight. Ayzen mentioned as he closed his eyes and kissed the bracelet gently. It was a gift he had made for him and Zack once they got separated from the day time. It was a keepsake Ayzen never really took off.

“It’s no problem.” Zack chuckled again, hooking his thumbs into the front pockets of his warn out jeans. Even without meaning to, he had held up the younger man from his duties……something they both somehow managed to do when seeing the other at their job. Though it was always interesting to see Ayzen come into the bar area Zack worked. Some of the customers knew by now not to speak to him, especially the ones who Zack would be cutting off at the time. It was one of the reasons why he had requested Ayzen come closer to closing time. That way, Zack wouldn’t have to worry about the dark haired male getting hit on or worse while he was stuck in the back doing dishes. Now that was something that Zack never wanted to walk in on ever again.

His smile faded slightly at the thought, and it took a moment to realize that his fingers were brushing the length of his metal wristband that Ayzen had given him a long while back. The smile returned as he gazed at it. Ayzen had given it to him pretty soon after he had been transferred to the Night class. If Zack was good enough, that one wristband allowed him to slip into the night classes more easily. Though Koichi-sensei was strict….both in the classroom and in the dorm. Zack had to work hard not to get caught by the dark haired teacher.

Looking at the crest again, Zack’s smile widened. He couldn’t imagine the amount of trust that it took for Ayzen to give him this. Zack had never actually met Ayzen’s family, but if they were anything like their son, Zack was sure that he would like them. Glancing up, he smirked at the host standing a few feet away, before switching his gaze back towards the kitchens. Truth be told, seeing as Ayzen was a cook, he would know which restaurants were good. After all, a great chief knew great food.

As Ayzen was about to get back to work his boss came in smiling at everyone and then turned to Ayzen. "Ay you need to be more careful while you are still on the job. You remember what happened last time with the district walking in correct?" He mentioned as Ay looked down at the floor in shame. Him and a few others were just being theirselves but business is business and corporate snobs hate them for being cozy and such with the customers. "Yes sir. I humbly apologize about it. I promise that it won't happen again." He almost choked saying those words even though he knew deep down inside that it would happen but he will have to be more cautious since district loved dropping surprise visits from time to time. His boss sighed and smiled as everyone got back to work again. "I hate to get on you because you are a good kid. You can leave Ay. Good work today!" His boss mentioned as Ay's face lit up. Getting off early was rare for him since he is a chef but he is also hungry and hasn't eaten all day. "Thank you sir. Good work everyone." Ayzen mentions as he bows to his kitchen crew and heads to the back room to change and get ready to leave.

He closed the back room door and went straight to his light blue duffel bag and pulled out some slim fit black jeans and a black shirt with the words Vintage Lover in the front going down on the left hand side. He walked into the bathroom and changed clothes. As he looked in the mirror he ruffled his hair again and walked out. As he placed his chef clothes in the bag he hung up his apron, zipped up his bag and headed into the restaurant to join his best friend Zack.

Once he joined Zack he looked around and saw the packed up place. But people were served and the atmosphere was happy and calm like always. Ay thought hard about where to eat and then it came to mind. "How about the Teahouse? I have been craving their Japanese food for a while. Is that cool?" Ayzen asked his older partner knowing that it was going to be fine but he is not the demanding type.

Zack’s gaze widened slightly, his smile falling a bit as he watched Ayzen approach him. He didn’t know what it was with vampires and the color black that made them look damn sexy, but whatever it was, worked for Ayzen very well. A slow, lazy smirk worked its way across his face, sapphire orbs looking the younger man up and down before returning to look in his eyes. Bending down to pick up his helmet, Zack chuckled again at Ayzen as they left the restaurant.

“Sounds good to me.” Now that his friend had mentioned it, Japanese was sounding really, really good right then. Walking side by side, they made their way towards the parking lot, talking of whatever came to mind. It didn’t take them long to get to where Zack parked the bike. Handing Ayzen the other helmet, Zack on his own before climbing on the bike and turning it on. He then turned on the mikes in the helmets so that they could talk and hear each other during the ride. A small shiver ran down his spine when the bike dipped slightly and strong arms wrapped around his torso for leverage. Turning back to Ayzen, Zack smiled, though it was hard to see it through the helmet.

“Hold on tight.” Zack spoke through the mic, revving the bike once before moving out of the parking lot towards tea house.

The mall was enormous. She didn't know why she hasn't been there before, (being quite the fan of shopping,) but Asuko felt herself smile truly for the first time that day as she stepped through the glass doors and started walking.
Her days and nights were beginning to bleed into one another, and the succubus knew that was very bad for her health. Of course, over three hundred years without obtaining the proper energy her body needed didn't help either. 'God, I need a man. Or woman.' she thought tiredly, rubbing a hand through her blonde locks. She noticed she needed a haircut. Not surprising.

Finding herself in front of an interesting little restaurant, Asuko half smiled, wondering if they served coffee. No matter what time of day it was, lately, that's what she could be found guzzling down by the gallon. Walking in quietly, she noticed a host standing seemingly bored near the door. She wasn't sure if she needed to wait to be seated or just take a booth herself, so momentarily, she allowed herself to glance around at the different things in the shop her eyes found. Everything was really quite beautiful, she noticed.

Of course, she couldn't be out of sight and mind forever, and quickly the host approached her, asking pleasantly enough if he could help her find a seat and if anyone would be joining her. Quickly, she informed him that it was just her, and he whisked her off to a booth just for herself. Once she was seated, the woman had to resist the urge to lay her head down on the table and just sleep. But what bad etiquette that would have shown! Sleepily, she blinked a few times and pulled a cell phone out of her bag, flicking it open under the table and connecting to the internet.

It took Ayzen some time to get into to work because his thoughts went straight to Zack. Gods he never realized how much he actually loved the man until he started dating him. Well he knew he loved him but to have the same amount being poured onto you right back is just heaven. Tngles went down his body as he thought about it. Once into work he saw that the lunch crowd had yet to enter so he went to clock in quickly at the counter. The Store Director, Mike, was at the registar and he sighed once he saw Ayzen walk in.

"God you had me worried. -Hey how you fine folks doing. This young lady will find you both the perfect seat.- Clock in Ay and show people what your skills are made of son." He ruffled Ayzen's hair a bit as he walked back onto the floor helping to take orders. Brenda came back after she walked the couple to their table and she giggled at the young vampire as she noticed the slight change. "Ayzen you have more pep in your step. What's the occassion?" She asked as the vampire blushed a bit which only caused her to chuckle more. "I just had a really good night that's all." He stated as he quickly went through the kitchen and everyone greeted him. Once he got into the back he placed on his chef shirt and his hair tie. He pushed his bag into the locker and kissed his braclet which is his lucky charm. 'Wish me luck today, Zack.' he whispered as he tied his hair back and walked back out into the kitchen and grabbed the pads and pens he needed. He then grabbed the apron and tied it on then walked out onto the main floor.

Yoko came to Ayzen and pointed at two guests he had seated just moments ago. Ayzen nodded and went to the guy first. He smiled when he noticed who it was. "Oh thank Gods Ayzen you actually worked today. The last time my order was wrong but I am still deciding so you can handle another customer for now." Ayzen chuckled as he wrote down something on the pad. He ripped it off and handed it to Frank. "Sorry about that. I will handle the woman not too far but I need a shirt and I want to pay for it. It is for someone special and I want it as a gift. Do you think you can find one for me when you go back into work?" Frank scanned the description Ayzen gave him and he smiled. "Hunny I am the Fashion King. I can find you anything in my store. Sure I will find you smething and you can pay for it at break." He told Ay as he nodded and went to handle the woman next.

At first he didn't recognize her but by face he knows here even though he has never had any of her classes before. "Hello Asuko-Sensei. And Welcome to the Kozy Korner. Can I get you anything? Or are you still deciding on an order?" He said politely as he bowed to her in respect.

'Nothing in the news.' the blonde snapped her phone shut, dropping it in her bag and half sighing, half yawning. She glanced around but didn't notice anything of interest that she hadn't noticed before. Asuko drew lazy imaginary patterns on the table with her neatly polished fingernail, before smiling tiredly, lifting her hand and inspecting it. That hand wouldn't be there without the Alculards.

She remembered watching the academy from afar for years, good looking little boys and girls entering and exiting through the colossal gates, and teachers laughing merrily. She envied them so. Safe, surrounded by what were basically fortress walls. Surrounded by people who cared what would happen to them if they were being hunted. Her name was still Avalon back then. 'This is a fairly recent alias.' she noted, remembering. Though she sat alone in the booth, her eyes had glossed over. She was far away.

She had simply walked through the gates one day, following a group of young adults who smelled strongly of hamburgers and salt water. They must have been at the beach for the day. Automatically, the woman had felt safer, and she sensed a mass of humans, but also a plethora of others... Others, like her?

No. Not quite. But they definitely weren't human. But that didn't matter, she was more powerful than almost anything, between the knowledge she acquired from her years of living, and her slowly diminishing strength of being a succubus. Though of course her power was diminishing because she had all but denounced being a succubus by then.

She had walked straight into the main offices, past the woman at a desk in front of the headmaster's room (who had tried vainly to stop her, except she could feel the determination oozing out of Avalon. She had made sure everyone around her could feel it) and into the office. Lucky, Takamichi hadn't had a meeting that day. Her first words to him- and what memorable words they were- were "Your school is safe." She had started out rough, but she had no other choice, as Adrastos had been in a surrounding city just weeks before. She had sensed him, so she was sure he had sensed her as well. But Takamichi had been lenient. He asked her to sit and they could talk. Hours later, the respectable man and herself had come to an agreement. Avalon would be safe at Alculard Academy, under surveillance from the 'homeland security' and within the walls, as long as she didn't drain any person on campus or in the surrounding areas.

After years worth of basically starving herself, she had no problem agreeing to the headmasters condition.

Just a while after that, Avalon, dawning her new name of Asuko Izanami, ordered her first elixir from the Yismen family. It temporarily raised her energy back to her normal level, and made her feel as though she could breathe easier, surrounded by the suffocating sexual tension of the students she taught.

A voice snapped the woman out of her reverie. Glancing up, hand still frozen in front of her face, she looked wide eyed into the face of Ayzen Yismen, son of the people she bought the almost drug/necessity from. She quickly recovered and lay her hand back down on the table, smiling pleasantly at the young vampire. "Why hello, Yismen-kun." she stated quietly, internally wincing at the lack of energy evident even just in her voice. "I was just thinking about your family, actually. I'll be placing an order soon. Um, do you have coffee here?" she asked innocently, blinking.

Ayzen thought he had did something wrong and he wasn't sure if he should come back. Gods she looked so tired...too tired in this young ones mind. Even some of the other staff were starting to get this way due to all of their double shifts that they had to pull. Gods the lack of staff is killing them all and poor Llyod returns just to give everyone medication and Java drugs to keep the staff awake long enough to work. But Alculard has a great staff of dedicated teachers and he is so thankful for it. Their education is very top notched and has gotten award after award for such high standards. Once the poor Sensei came back to her senses Ayzen saw a flash. It almost looked like he saw a very tired Succubus. Shaking his head slightly he fought it off as it seemed like fatigue. But he could hear it in her voice.

Gods she must not have been eating as of late and he was hoping that wasn't the case. He smiled once she said she will be placing an order so at least he knows his family will be aiding her once again. "Good. They love to aide all of the Academy Staff whenever they can. My father is actually thinking of opening up a place in the Downtown Area so shipping will be condensed to half or little the time. If you need the strong fixes you could always head there. They have all of the products you and I need even though it lasts so much shorter than what my parents fix. But yes we do have coffee. What would you like? Dark Roast which is our strongest. A Cappuccino with extra cream free of charge. Or maybe the Premium Roast which isn't too strong but it has enough Kick. As usual our cups have a free of charge refresh rate so just let me know whenever you want more." the worried young one stated in a low voice. Still being out in the Human part of town was a hassel so when any of the Night Students or Staff came he made extra care that he took their orders when he worked. Even though he is not supposed to he does add certain ingredients to their meals to help calm them or give them a small boost of energy to carry them at least back home.

Asuko watched the young man closely. He smiled before replying to her, though she could see that it didn't light his eyes. Instead, they reflected pure worry. For her? She closed her eyes and let her head drop, smiling despite herself. She listened in silence as he spoke, lifting her head after the first few words. It was terribly rude not to look at someone when they were addressing you.

"Your parents are such good people." she smiled again. "I'm glad you're coming up just as wonderfully as they are. I will definitely visit the new store. After all, I am a loyal customer to the Yismen family!" she giggled, a light, musical tone, though internally she winced again. The family were truly great, and she would stick with their interesting home made drink that kept her on her feet, but in all truth, she had no choice but to buy from them. She could either do that and be assured safety at all times, or attempt to partially drain someone, most likely fully drain and kill them, and then be back on the street, wanted not only for murder but by her unbearably blood-thirsty cousin as well. The choice was obvious. Oh well, there were definitely worse people she could deal with.

Looking back up, Asuko decided on what sounded best for her at the moment. "I'll have a cup of the dark roast, please. Nothing to eat though. I haven't had very much of an appetite lately." she smiled again, hoping Ayzen wouldn't get in trouble for her delaying him so long.

Her head dropped as he spoke but being polite he just smiled and continued on. Once she lifted her head he felt a bit better knowing that she is okay but just overly exhausted. Poor thing and all he can do is feed her well until her next shipment comes. "Thank you Asuko-sensei. You are one of their VIP customers so when the new store opens they will definitly give you a special discount." he said as he blushed a bit. She is so sweet and Ayzen was a little beside himself as she spoke about his parents. They are coming for the break and they will be here for the festival he is so excited. When she said her coffee he snapped back to reality and bowed. "One coffee coming right up." He said as he left her table.

Swiftly he walked through the kitchen and straight to his locker. He grabbed his duffel bag and pulled out a rolled up black canvas bag. Looking into his bosses office he saw him on the phone through the cracked door. Unrolling it quickly he looked at all the spices and saw the succubus energy vile. He took it out and placed it in his pocket. He rolled everything back up and placed it back in his locker.

Rushing back into the kitchen he grabbed their dark roast coffee and a black coffee cup with the purple cat outline on it. It is the Signature cup of the Restaurant and their logo. The back cups keep everything hot so much longer than white. Once he poured the java into the medium cup he took out the vial and allowed 3 drops of it into the cup. sturring it quickly so it melted into the hot liquid so no trace of an unusal taste was there. Once finished he placed it on its' black dish and added a small boat of creamer since the sugar is on the table.

He came back out smiling at hr as he placed the cup down on her table. "I hope you enjoy I will be back to check up on you in a bit. Let me know if you ever change your mind." He says as he goes back to serve the other customers.

Watching Ayzen walk away, Asuko dropped as much of her guard as she could, slumping onto the table with a soft groan. 'What a great kid. I hope life treats him well.' she thought, eyes following him until he was in the kitchen and out of sight. It was getting harder and harder for her to keep her human features at all times, she noticed, feeling her hair start growing.

Wait, what?!

She almost shot straight out of her chair as she realized her hair was beginning to hang long enough to brush over her breasts while she shot her gaze side to side around her. Thankfully, no one was noticing this odd phenomenon. Panicked, she clenched her fists on either side of herself and focused, bringing whatever energy she had left into her core and willing her features to remain human. 'Just go back to normal...' she silently chanted along with a colorful string of curse words. This was going to cause a big dilemma for her. She wouldn't even make it back to campus this way, let alone get through at least a week before her order came in, but she couldn't very well go around draining random strangers, either! Mentally kicking herself for trying to sustain energy longer than she could, Asuko made sure everything looked normal. She felt a non human, non succubus/incubus presence approaching. She knew it was just her coffee and young waiter, but she was extremely on edge. Well, about as on edge as she could be, considering how exhausted and starved she was.

She watched the vampire set her coffee down lightly. "Thank you, Yismen-kun. I'll be sure to let you know if I need anything else." she managed to get out through barely unclenched teeth. She didn't bother watching him walk away before shakily picking up the glass and sipping it.

It tasted wonderful. God, it really did. She scalded her tongue repeatedly, but couldn't put the mug back on the table. Looking down and closing her eyes, she felt warmth spread rapidly through her, reaching down into her toes and all the way up into the headache behind her eyes. She wondered what kind of coffee they were serving here and where she could get some when it dawned on her. She had felt that feeling quite a few times before. It was the exact same temporary euphoria she got every time her order came in.

The blonde shot her head back up, wide eyes searching for the Night Class student. She wasn't sure whether to scold him for drugging a teacher, or kiss his feet for helping her in such a dire time of need. Honestly, she figured just thanking him would be enough. Him doing that had assured she'd make it until her order came in. Smiling, Asuko sipped her coffee again. Alculard truly did have some wonderful students. She had made the right decision those years ago.

Ayzen took up Franks order and went to the kitchen to fix his plate. He inhaled the spices and savored them all since his nose can detect every single spice available. His vampire senses were so sharp today and he smiled as he figured out why. Zack is the reason why his senses are so sharp once again. Why his body is not tired even though they got a few hours of sleep. His blood actually helped this young vampire become more attuned to his normal self again. Gods there is no replacing real blood leaving the body. As the meat simmered Ayzen recalled the vile in his pocket so in a rush he went to place it back in the bag. Mike was walk out his offce when he saw Ayzen. Ayzen dropped it into his bag quickly.

"Ayzen you should be cooking. Or at least handleing our guests." Mike stated as Ayzen slightly kicked his duffle bag back into his locker. "I am sir I just wanted to put something away. I wanted to request some days off if it is at all possible?" He asked as he closed his locker and they walked back into the kitchen. "Talk to me before you leave. We are getting packed again." His boss said as he walked back out into the main area to help once again.

Ayzen sighed as he went back to finishing Franks meal. Once it was done he took it to Frank and they chatted for a few. Ayzen went to check on all the guests and then he came back to Asuko."Is everything alright Asuko-Sensei?" He asked as he came to fill up her coffe mug again.

She really couldn't help but stare at the young man, though she knew it was rude. Her lips were pursed, but not from anger. It was moreso her trying to figure out just what to say to him. She could feel energy coursing through her, helping her keep appearances normal and calm. Even the tension surrounding her was wearing off, leaving a slight feeling of happiness.

Quickly, Asuko glanced down at the coffee mug, full once more. "Thank you." she said, eyes losing focus from being lost in her thoughts. She blinked rapidly to keep herself in the room. After living so long, her mind just wandered of it's own device. "I mean that. I'm indebted to you." she looked back up at the vampire. "You have no idea how relieved I am right now." In her mind, he truly couldn't. If she had lost her focus on that remaining energy, it would have meant disaster, plain and simple. She would've singlehandedly put the entire Night Class of Alculard Academy in trouble. An entire restaurant seeing her without an alias! The blonde shook her head slightly. Inhaling deeply, she smiled widely. "Everything is fine." she finally answered him, though she spoke more to herself than Ayzen.

Her look had him kind of worried as he watched her carefully. What was he to say? Once he finished filling her cup he smiled as she thanked him. "You are very welcome. Indebted?! Oh nononono that isn't necessary Ms. Asuko-sensei really it isn't." Ayzen tried to play it off but when you give someone something that they had for a very long time they are bound to know the difference. He sighed as he scratched the back of his head. "I worry about all of you when you all come here tired as can be pulling the double shifts. Please be more careful Ms. Asuko-Sensei." he said as he bowed and left quickly to fill other orders.

Once inside the kitchen his heart began to pound and he started to worry. If she knew would he get into trouble later once back home? Oh gods what if she met them at the gate and Zack got into trouble for being with him? Ayzen was slowly panicing until Mike came back around. "Ayzen!" He turned around almost dropping the coffee pot but the vampire reflexes allowed him to catch it before it hit the stone ground. "Office. Now"
Shit. Now I'm in trouble. He placed the coffee pot back in it's holder and set it to fix more coffee. Once he felt it was set he walked to the back into Mike's Office.

Mike sighed once the young vampire came in and sat down. He squeezed the brigde of his nose and shut his eyes. Trying his hardest to ignore the impending headach that was forming. "Ayzen my boy. What is wrong with you today? Not enough sleep or something?" he asked as he looked back at a sighing young vampire. Mike knows what Ayzen is but he doesn't care the man can cook and he can draw in a crowd like no other so after all these years he is allowed to stay. "I am sorry sir. Just lack of sleep that's all." he told him as his emeralds avoided the eye contact with his boss. Mike leaned back into his chair and sighed. He knew he was in the wrong today for calling the man in on his day off. "Look Ayzen. I am sorry for calling you in today but Terry is sick. His illiness returned last night and it is staying longer than he would like it to. I am unsure when he will be back. I will have to call Greg in tomorrow. How about I make it up to you and give you tomorrow off huh? I wasn't even supposed to call you in today but I really need you. And that being said stay focused my young blood. You never know when corporate will come in. If there is anything I can do you let me know alright?" Mike said as he apologized the his vampire for bringing him in on such short notice. Ayzen sighed since he wasn't in too much trouble but the day off tomorrow wil help. He clentched his hands as he leaned on Mike's desk. "Sir...if it is not too much to ask. Can I have Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays off?" His emeralds were hoping for an answer but Mike sat back in his chair and sighed. "Let me think about it. Now you return to your duties please"

Without a moment to waste Ayzen walked swiftly back into the kitchen as he went to make 7 other orders now that the lunch crowd has come in for the start of the afternoon.

"No. What you just did was probably one of the most selfless things anyone has done for me. And I've been alive a lot longer than I look." Asuko winked at the young man, who was trying to brush everything off as if he hadn't done anything. IT was no secret that she wasn't a human. At least, not to any of the night class students. So she didn't try to pretend that she was around them. Now, the day class students were a completely different story. Though it had been brought up in one or two of the staff meetings, the school hadn't yet decided to merge the classes. Something she personally was torn about. Looking back down at her coffee and reaching for the sugar, she told Ayzen "Don't worry about the teachers so much that you neglect your studies, alright? We're used to pulling double shifts." she added a single creamer and stirred. "You on the other hand give us something to look forward to every day. To know that we're making an impact on the students lives in a positive way is the best thing that can happen to a teacher." She quickly promised to be more careful as he hurried away.

Picking back up where her reverie had left off, the blonde put her spoon back down and sipped the coffee, thankful that it wasn't as hot as the first mug. She trusted Ayzen enough to have not put anything in this cup, because with his upbringing, he knew just how much would help, and how much would hurt. Smiling softly to herself, Asuko again began weighing the pros and cons of merging the classes.

The human students could learn so much from the nonhumans, of that she was sure. But she also knew from experience that they wouldn't get along. Humans hatred of those different from themselves was, after all, quite infamous. She worried silently at her booth of what the repercussions of joining them would be. Alculard was so peaceful as it was now. And if there broke out fights between the day and night class students, an all out war would soon follow.

As much as she knew humans had weapons-wise, she wasn't ignorant. She knew they'd be crushed flat.

Sighing, Asuko sipped her coffee again. She would remain against the merge, but perhaps if there were an 'elite' class? Just one set of students that could merge day and night? All too soon, the teacher found herself whisked away by her thoughts, coffee completely forgotten, though it still sat warmly in her hands.

Ayzen finished 3 meals and rang the bell for the order. Ayzen stifled a yawn as he cooked and one of the other Main chefs saw it. "You can't be that tired Ay." James said as he handed Ayzen another customers plate to be handled with the order. Ayzen just chuckled as he added the black peppered chicken he just finished cooking. "If only you knew the fun I had last night. You can sleep peacfully after something like that." He stated as he added the rice and rang the bell for the 4th order down. Everyone did their cat calls in the kitchen which caused the customers to laugh. "Shhh pipe down." Ay says as he starts on the 5th order as the staff laugh. "Was she hot?" James asked as Ayzen blushed a bit and they teased him again. He laughed with them as they tried to fix the food for their guests. "Guys, you and your teasing." Ay says as he tosses the noodles in the pan. "Hey but you know that Zack friend of yours isn't too bad looking either. That is if you swing that way of course." He chuckled as they cooed again. "Seriously come on. Good looking but for me? I don't know" He said as they all laughed again. Even though he really didn't want to be in his crew was making it worth the time. "Hey now you never know. We always hear woman complaining. 'Damn why are all the cute guys taken or gay. Soooo lame' So he may or may not" James did his best impression of all the school girls that come in and brag about all the hot guys they can ever get. Ayzen and them just laughed as their finished the last of the orders. "I will be back you guys." He said as he walked out with the food to serve people.

Once he handled the two tables he came back to Asuko and handed her a small slice of of Carrot Cake he made yesterday as he filled her cup up. "I hope you like Carrot Cake Asuko-Sensei. I made it yesterday but since there was so little left we decided to passit out as something on the house. Is there anything else that you want today besides coffee?" Ayzen asked as he smiled at his teacher.

'I get lost in thought too easily. Maybe I'm going senile. From old age.' Asuko giggled quietly at the thought. She looked as though she were in her mid twenties, though in truth she was over three thousand. She had a LOT of life left to live. Well, maybe. If Adrastros didn't find her first. Shivers ran down her petite spine at the thought of her cousin. Again.

Catcalls rang out loudly from the kitchen area, causing other patrons to laugh loudly. Casting her bright aqua eyes around the room, the woman wondered if there was a joke she wasn't in on, or if these humans were just very... jovial. But she allowed a smile. Someone back there was getting lucky!

Her cup wasn't empty, but sooner than she realized, the young man was back, refilling up her coffee mug and setting a small plate in front of her. Before she could inquire about it, he answered her unasked question. "Carrot cake?" she repeated, a smile spreading across her face. "I love carrot cake, Yismen-kun! It's almost as though you know me too well." she joked. Glancing at the cake, her mouth started watering. With her newly acquired energy came the rapid return of her appetite. She looked up at Ayzen. "You made it? Well then, I'm sure it will be amazing."

Never one to be rude, the blonde glanced around the table for a menu, unsuccessfully. "Um... Maybe I'm just going blind," she stated, silently adding 'Oh no, it IS old age!' "But is there a menu around? I think I would like something to eat." she smiled sweetly up at the man. The least she could do was contribute some money to the restaurant. Not to mention the nice tip she was sure Ayzen would gain from her once she left. "Or you could simply tell what's best here."

Ayzen watched as the smile came across her face. At first he wasn't sure if he brought something she was allegic to. Some people don't like carrot cake but after her response he chuckled. "I try to learn all of our guests and since you don't come here I guess I need to learn your tastes now." He smiled as he wiped down her table. "I am the 2nd main chef here. I am going to get my degree in Alculard and unite the world by food. You can't really argue on a full and happy stomach can you?" Ayzen chuckled at the thought. Just to imagine if such a thing could happen to where humans and nonhumans could truely stop and just enjoy life would be a miracle on its own.

Ayzen saw her looking for something and her remarks had him figuring it out. "I'm sorry. when you said you weren't going to order anything I took it back. I will get it for you. Please hold on." He said as he went to place the coffee pot on the burner and retrieve a menu for his sensei. Nate was the host that answered the phone and he handed it to Ayzen. "Its for you. It's Frank from the 1st floor." He said as Ay took the phone from him.

"Kozy Korner...yes...oh really?....That would be perfect. I will pay for it on my break. Yes that will be in another hour. Thanks so much Frank. I know he will love it." Ayzen handed the phone back to Nate and went back to his Sensei. He Gave her the menu and smiled "I could tell you what is good but that will depend on what you are looking for" He said as he chuckled a bit.

Asuko agreed with him quietly. Such ideas, how wonderful! Though she silently wondered just how well the young man would be able to unite the world by food. "Good luck." she wished his back as he walked away to retrieve a menu.

Asuko placed her napkin on her lap lightly and took up her fork. It sank easily into the cake and she smiled. Everything was starting to look up, finally. Something in the back of her mind told her not to get too comfortable, but she simply brushed it away and took a heavenly bite. It all but melted on her tongue, and the teacher sighed in content, closing her eyes slowly.

As she ate, she idly wondered about her clan. It was almost too easy to relate the people she left behind to her students. She taught them, kept them save, and reprimanded them when they got out of line. Chuckling, she sipped her coffee. 'Wow. This is really good with coffee!' she noted happily.

She still had around half of her slice of cake when Ayzen returned with a menu. Glancing at it idly, she chuckled. "This is amazing, Yismen-kun. If you keep cooking like this, I'm sure you shall unite the world." Smiling and setting her fork down, Asuko picked at a corner of the menu. "I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. I've already broken the rule of desert before dinner, so I have no idea. I might just have a salad." She looked at him thoughtfully. "What is good, but also fairly light?"

Ayzen smiled when she said a salad. It is something that he hasn't made in a long time. "Well if you are looking for the Leafy Green Goodness may I suggest our top 3 dishes. We have our Chipotle Chicken Salad which has bits of grilled chicken 3 different types of Leaves corn and Jasmine rice. All topped with a creamy, spicy Chipotle dressing. We also have the Southwestern Taco Salad which has Iceberg lettuce, black beans, spanish rice, ground beef and tortilla stips. All topped off with the Southwestern Ranch Dressing. And Lastly my Favorite Furitanelli. It is our special 3 chef Salad made only for the Kozy Korner. It is out of Spinach and Romaine leaves with Grilled Chicken strips, cuts of Strawberries, apples, mandarin oranges, blueberries and rainier cheeries." Ayzen smiled after he recited the Top Salads there.

Each one brought back memories of him and Zack. They always made their salads into festive wraps. Even Zack was learning very well to being a chef and even though Ayzen couldn't play the piano he did enjoy humming to the tunes. He never really considered taking up Singing even though Zack said he had a Tenors Voice. Sighing as he couldn't wait to get off he tilted his head to the right slightly and brought his focus back to the lovely teacher in front of him. She seemed to be absorbed into the cake that he wasn't sure if she wanted a salad. So being nice he smiled and just waited for her order.

Having extensive practice of watching people without their notice, Asuko may have seemed to be very interested in her carrot cake, but in fact she was watching Ayzen's eyes glaze over. 'Lost in thought, maybe?' she wondered.

Momentarily, she pondered her leafy options. The first one sounded amazing. But was she in the mood for something spicy? Probably not. The second option was out, as taco salad was anything but her favorite food. She grimaced at the thought of it. And the third was the young man's favorite, so it must be good, right? It also sounded wonderful, and all the fruit was making her mouth water.

Smiling, Asuko quit fiddling with the menu's corner and made up her mind. "All of them sound wonderful, Yismen-kun, but I think the Furitanelli is what I'll have. Honestly, I'm not much for taco salad, and the sweetness of the fruit sounds better than spices right now, thought I love spicy food, don't get me wrong. Oh! I'm babbling, I'm sorry!" she covered her mouth, blushing. "And where were your thoughts taking you, hmm Yismen-kun?" she giggled teasingly.
